Thanks guys, I feel good about my purchase again. I actually ended up finding one at a LBS today for $1800, so I guess I made out pretty well.

So much potential there! actually, so much there already. A little leveling, remove the plastic disk, a proper fit and cut of the excess steerer tube, pedals... After that you'll just end up checking out the WW section.
On that note try to weigh your bike when you get it and after you fix it up.

I agree, I know once I get the bike fit it will look so much better, and I won't have to update too much too quickly at least.

Quick question that I've seen mixed answers on through searching: Does anyone know what size seat post clamp I'll need for this frame? The clamp I already have is a Thomson 31.8, but I read somewhere that Thomson doesn't make a clamp that fits on the CAAD10 frame.

+1. I don't think I'm a fan of wheels with huge decals on them.

Whoops, Instagram.

If you look closely you can tell that he has 450c wheels and the rest is just tire.

It looks great though, how long is that stem? 130?

NWS Alpine 02-21-13 07:33 AM

They are almost big enough that you could double stack the logos

They're special HED tires with a brake track. :P Good guess, stem is 120 though.

SOMEONE FIGURE OUT WHAT FONT HED USES.

Only 4-5 more days until bike arrives at my LBS. Compiling a list of "stuff" that I need so appreciate any reccs:

Pedals: ordered Shimano Ultegra
Helmet: went with Giro Savant
Shoes: went basic shimano
Gear: I picked up some basics but anyone have a good website for clothes? What I have so far is very monochromatic.
Cages: No idea what to get. I assume carbon.
Computer: Garmin or Cateye? Leaning toward small cateye just for cadence. Hard to get lost in NYC where I bike most.
Bike bag: People still use these?

Eventually looking to upgrade saddle and wheels but need to give credit card a rest and pay for kids' pre-school.

Thanks!

1. good pedals
2. nice helmet
3. shoes will work but you will upgrade
4. Voler.com, nashbar, ebay...so ,many choices
5. if you want carbon these are cheap, light, and work http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Carbon-F...80573607960%26
6. Cateye with speed and cadence will do fine, can be had cheap on ebay, but Garmin 200-500 can be had cheap with new releases out
7. personal choice on saddle bag, if you like then get a small one, if not lezyne caddy sack.

Thanks! Ordered the bottle cage. Good price. I just got the shoes from Zappos and they have a good return policy so do you have a recommended shoe?

I'm not saying the shoes won't work, which Shimano's do you have? I started with the R-087 shoe and it was fine, I only upgraded to the R-191 because I liked them better and found them real cheap on ebay.

I got the R-087s too. Got decent deal on them as they were on sale.

Oh, you will be fine then, when you said basic I thought you meant the lowest model, the 87 is not the high end shoe but they have a cheaper option with just the velcro straps. I still have my 87's and wear them more than the 191. The 191 has a stiffer sole but I never got hot spots with the 87, I got numbness at first but then figured out I was wearing them to tight and not leaving room for my feet to swell a bit.
