I always thought that if there's one sports car/performance car that looks better when it's doing work stuff (like on a snowy mountain road with a ski rack on top, or maybe even towing a boat like you say), it's a Porsche.

Even better if it's a 911 and not one of those stupid Cayennes or Panameras... :D

Open a Photobucket account, post them there, copy & paste the url address of the photos you want over here. Done. :)

That's how I ultimately managed to post those pics. Thanks =)

please comment on this. trying to make front of bike less heavy looking. what you see here is the easton ec70 drop;140 and reach;85mm. i think this makes it front heavy plus the white grip. thinking about going compact (fsa k-force or easton ec90 slx3 - i like the flat top fsa has to offer/easton 70 too!) im not too crazy about the anatomic design, liking the round bars more. i want a perfect transition from bar to hoods...what do you guys think would go well and with sram?

A) Comfort and proper sizing should triumph over any aesthetic issues you have with your bike.

B) Compact bars are the sveltest looking bars you can put on your bike...buy you might not like them.

C) "Perfect" transition is relative to your particular fit issues.

Here's my cockpit...see if you like it or not:

i guess i shouldve mentioned that i'd like to have less reach and less drop. so ya that was #1, then compatibility with sram shifters with a smooth transition "flat" bar to hoods (currently equipped) then comes to shape design (aesthetic appeal) so i've narrowed it down to the looks of it now. is that a fsa wing? are your drops flaring out due to lens distortion? or does it really flare out that much?

Im not 100% sure on what you mean by "less heavy looking." Do you want a more compact setup or actual weight reduction?

As far as your bar question, the 3T Ergonova is everything you want. Very shallow drop like the Ergosum but with flat tops. It transitions extremely well with SRAM hoods.

If you're looking to match the color scheme on your bike, a white saddle would balance things out nicely.

Hope that helps.

Edit: 2ndgen, bike looks nice, but lose the Fizik logo finishing tape, black electrical tape looks much cleaner...

It's a K-Wing "Compact" and it definitely has less drop. It (for me) is far more comfortable than my OEM bar.

As for the "flaring"; pic angle. Although they flare out just enough for me to ride the drops while still keeping my arms relatively straight.

For me, the K-Wing is the most comfortable bar I've ridden. I love it.
The fact that it looks great? Well, that's just icing on the cake.

:)

Oh! And black tape! Black tape! Black tape on your bike!

I found this to be very helpful for me:

by looking at it it appears heavy or massive too. although i'd like to reduce some weight but i'll leave that for the WW.

i've looked at these bars, they dont have as round drops as i'd like, my shop doesn't have this so i could get a feel of it.

i got the black for a great deal...none in white...maybe i should go all black now?

thanks

you dont know how many times i've been watching this...i wish he'd do a review on the k-force :P i like the k-force because its not as fancy as the k-wing (the top bending up/angled/ down, how else can i describe that?) and i need usually mount my computer on the bar, not the stem...so im considering that too...

ok you made your point :bike:

for fsa they are the same shapes right? but for other brands they have a slightly different bend. does the fsa have the semi ergo/anatomic bend (whatever they call it)? its not fully traditional round bend say like the easton ec90 slx3, which i kind of like more...i have a traditional bend on my old bike and its as comfortable too..

ya i've looked at almost everything, now im asking for suggestions now. though when i ride, i notice my wrists to hurt a little only because my hands fall naturally over the angled bend on the drops. which should be curved. i just need to get my hands on a 'demo'...

Sorry for a fit question, but can those of you riding 60cm Caad9's tell me your height and inseams? I have not been fitted yet, but MAY want to pick up a 2010 Caad9 6 for what I believe to be a good deal. Also, being a Tiagra bike, what would you consider a fair deal for a very low mileage 2010?
Thanks.

I getting close to pulling the trigger on a caad-10-4 rival.

Any members that have had the bike for a while, any pro's and cons to this rig?
Any input would be welcomed

It's a 54cm and yeah these bars are awesome! It's not a Wing Pro though. Just FSA Wing.

I recently bought a caad8 as well because my wife wants to ride the Tour de Palm Springs 56 mile ride next month and there's no way I am going to do it on my winnebago of a commuter bike. It's my first "real" road bike and I bought this particular model because it best matched the geometry of my commuter, so I knew I would be comfortable.

I wasn't sure I would be interested in this organized riding/road bike thing but now I am hooked.

I got the blue version:
