Search the closed auctions. The price really moved in the last 15 minutes. I watched eBay for a couple months when shopping for a 54cm frame, I ended up going retail.

Ebay/Craigslist and keep looking. Good deals pop up once in a while.

That link is for closed/sold auctions. Brand new 2014 CAAD10 frameset sold for $535 +40 shipping 2 days ago. Used CAAD10 frame with seatpost and cranks sold for $510 plus $50 shipping a week ago. etc, etc. So yeah, if you are patient, you should be able to get on on ebay with shipping for $600

I bought a CAAD9 frame set on CL with original fork, plus Easton EC90 full carbon fork, Ritchey WCS carbon seatpost, Easton stem and Ultegra front derailleur for $450 last month and I probably overpaid because I wasn't patient and just wanted to get something.

Few upgrades since last pic. 12.8lbs as shown. Mirror included :).

son of a..! my caad9 is hovering around 18.5 with a full carbon fork

This is a lighter frame than a 9. It was 1125gms without RD hanger, cable guide and SP clamp, maybe another 40gms. and the WCS fork was only 276gms after cut to fit.

Okay- sorry my first post. Looking to stopping kicking my own butt, get off my Specialized Crosstrail Sport and onto a proper road bike. After working my way up to 20+ mile rides. It's time. I want to avoid the "what do I buy" troll. At the end of the day ... Local, used and less than a grand are good no matter what the name. This post came up recently and I like the look and feel of the CAADs. The pics show a bike in good shape but I suck at judging value. Here's the write up:

"For sale is a 2012 Cannondale CAAD10 with 2013 Shimano 105 5700 Shifters, FD, and RD, FSA Brakes, and a Sram Force Crank. The wheels are 2012 Bontrager Race with Continental 4000S tires. Bike size is 54cm. Crank arm length is 175mm with 53/39 chain rings. The bike, components, and wheels are in great shape with little to no wear. The components were bought over the last winter and haven't even seen the road. Shimano 105 pedals and Bontrager RL saddle are included with this bike. Basically it's ready to ride, train, and race. I also have a Cycle Ops Mag trainer and some tires and tubes. Tubes are new in box and tires are a set of Michelin Pro 3 grip and a set or two of Continental 4000S. All in very good shape and ready to go home with a new owner."

i was hoping to talk the guy into 800. Not sure that is an insult. I've asked him about the other stuff- available or included in the price...I assume it is avail for additional $.

Another person here just picked one up for $700 so anything is possible but even $800 is probably the low end. Of course, pictures would help to see the condition

I saw a frame set w/the seatpost, stem/headset, RD hanger, and bars go for 375. Not that was a steal, but I would say 500 is about right for used

12.8 is crazy light. Would like to see the list of components. Love all the red stuff - very nicely done. Thanks for reposting.

How the **** did you get this CAAD7 bike at 12.8lbs with pedals, bottle holders and mirror? Can you list your components? I am intrigued. Pls don’t get me wrong. I’m not doubting. Just drooling!

That is a great weight! What size is the frame? And how is the handling with the Ritchey WCS fork? I'm getting one put on on my CAAD8.

Yeah I haven't seen a CAAD 10 for less than 650 so far either. Once the bidding starts in the last hour, it skyrockets to $700-800 usually, barely less than getting a new one ordered from an LBS.

Thanks. I haven't noticed any flexiness. It doesn't get the bad feedback that the Easton SLX does. Overall the bike feels very taught. The Soul wheels contribute to that, stiff in spite of their weight.

Eight hundred would be a good price. A couple of things that I don't like - the cranks are a little long for a 54, I would expect to see 172.5's. Wheels are OK but not great but the tires are great. What is he asking for it?

Mine was the source of clicks. Got rid of them by slightly greasing the treads and under the top cap.

I mi think his asking price of 1100 is reasonable for CL. Interesting observation on the crank length- I'm on sort of in between on frame sizes. I'm 5-9 with 31ish inseam. I know I will have to ride it, but didn't want to waste my time if it wasn't worth it. The pics he has posted are okay, hard to tell but I don't care about cosmetic issues, just structural ones...

The picture if the complete bike is the components off a 2013 sram force caad10 (including wheels) on a 2014 frame. It ended around 1020 and I remember this because I said to my self "why didn't I buy this and resell it" :p


Deals are out there, you just have top be patient. I have been looking for a deal on garmin 500 for a long time and amazon had the bundle for 200$. Jumped on that real quick :D

Next up is a fluid trainer.

I've now seen one out there in the 52-56cm range for for a deal worth waiting a little bit for, lol. I waited four months, ran out of patience. I still troll eBay hoping to find a black/green frameset, but happy I went with my double-black frame.

So I have been riding my CAAD9 for a few weeks now. There is a horrible creaking noise whenever I put a lot of load on the pedals. Mostly seems to happen in the big chain ring. Climbing hills in small ring I rarely hear it, hammering the cranks on the flats in a high gear I hear the creak at the bottom of each pedal stroke.

I've posted a couple of threads but just curious from the CAAD owners if you have dealt with this. Searching the net, it sounds like a common problem. My bike has BB30 with factory installed adapter and I am running SRAM cranks with GXP bb. I have taken out the cranks and bb twice and cleaned an regreased everything. I just regreased my headset bearings. I have checked and tightened every single bolt on the bike. I have checked for visible cracks in the frame and there is nothing obvious.

I want to just ignore the noise but it's very disheartening to hear it every peadal stroke.

Okay- now I am torn big time
