I had some carbon wheels on it for a bit that really made it look killer but put the Ultegra's back on for now.

Oh, yeah! We talked about this before briefly, actually :).

I'd stick with the 10 because it's can already be dent solely being put in a stand!

Don't even flick the 12

Bb30

After more research i find the solution if i will have alot of issues with the bb30 i will install this adapter FSA BB30 to 68mm English Thread Bottom Bracket Adaptor | eBay so i can use cheap shimano hollowtech crank brackets but in order to do that i need to get a hollotech crankcase which is not expensive the hollowtech II holds up better than the bb30 so at the end im still getting my CAAD 10. There is also other alternatives like praxis works and wheel manufactures .

Thanks for the input.

I would keep the BB30 setup as long as possible. If the BB shell is damaged and can't properly hold the bearings, then go the adapter route. Stuffing an adapter into the shell isn't always the answer. I've been running the BB30 setup for two years now and only replaced the drive side bearing so far. No clicks, ticks, creaks or squeaks. Just using the Park grease and no Loctite. Buy the right tools and it's the easiest BB to work on.

Thanks for the info. What's the park grease?

^^Nice CAAD. Something about the "Handemade in USA" frames that appeal to me. I don't want to get rid of my CAAD 7. I have thought about either painting or powder coating it though. The Paint job from 2005 can use a refresh.

Tell me that its stupid to put R685/5800 stuff on my CAADx.

It is. You'd feel much better donating those parts to my new 'charitable' foundation in Oregon.

CAAD5 Flatbar CX

Converted my NOS, 2002 Cannondale F3000SL into a 700c flatbar CX bike. Those 16mm pencil seatstays are like butter. Test-rode: Volagi Liscio, BMC Alpinechallenge AC01, Specialized Crux and none even comes close, to the CAADs superiority. Breathed new, useful life into the bike now. Current weight is 19.4 pounds, running tubeless:

Road-fast....but no stranger to dirt:

With only 4.7mm of front tire clearance - this bike is DRY conditions only:

That looks pretty sweet! I love my Caad10, but $1,350 for a stripped frame with seatpost and fork sounds pretty appealing???

It's just grease manufactured by Park Tools. As long as my bottom bracket remains quiet, I'll keep using it.

Love my 2007 CAAD 9 tiagra. Been on the verge of buying a new bike (probably synapse next vs newer CAAD) but each time tell myself to hold up a bit. This is still an amazing ride, will be sad when its time to trade up!

The welds do stick out like a sore thumb, but it's a nice looking frame.

Something's wrong with the geometry chart on the CAAD 12s? The seat tube length seems too long. For example on a 54cm, it is listed as 57cm! CAAD12 Disc Dura Ace - CAAD12 - ELITE ROAD - ROAD - BIKES - 2016

On the CAAD 10 geometry chart, it's only 52 cm seat tube for a 54 frame size. Even if the 57cm on the CAAD 12 is center to top that's still too high for a size 54.

Can anyone confirm if this is really true? I'm thinking of waiting for the CAAD 12, but if they messed up the geometry I'd get the CAAD 10.

how does seat tube length have any effect on geometry?
