Did an LP ride today (33 1/3 miles). Less than a mile in my rear derailer decided it wasn't gonna give me any more big cog action so all climbs were done in the 42x24 and they went surprisingly well.

I guess I have to admit failure. I was rather distracted by the space age vacuum behind the front wheel in second pic.
Naww, I'll call it partial failure. I never took note of the dining room set in either pic.

I want to see the profile of this wall at the end of Grumpy's race. It sounds brutal.

That's pretty steep. As a comparison, the famous Manayunk Wall in Philly listed as 17%.

Very nice, Velo Vol.
Did I read that you hefted the bike and crossed that without even putting the bike on your shoulder? With or without full bottles? Feats of strength are made more impressive when details are added.

From the ride Saturday

The first time I saw this place, I said, "wut"
Not only was I not aware that there is a Hindu community in Lenior City, but this building is several miles away from the city, where one wouldn't expect to see such a structure.
One time I saw a bunch of guys playing cricket on the lawn. coasting would have loved it.

Nice pics VV. It reminds of something similar in MN with a giant golden Buddha out front and 40 acres of immaculate gardens and structures. Same surprising location a couple miles out of town even.
In other news, I made my first original contribution to that awful hole where the really bad threads go.

And moreover, people I know got to see me do it. Should I be vain or worry about my name being used in vain?

That country road looks awesome, VV!
Think I'm gonna head out on a double marathon today.
(on the bike, of course)
Maybe I should stretch it into a metric century
