I don't know who Joey Chestnut is or what he's doing, but that picture is grossing me out.

He's the competitive eating champ that dethroned the legendary Takeru Kobayashi. Kobayashi was like the Michael Jordan of eating, taking things to an unprecedented level, completely shattering record after record. Chestnut came out of the woodwork and flattened Kobayashi. BTW, the word "reversal," takes on new meaning in the context of competitive eating.

I think I'll make some salt potatoes tonight. Probably only have 3 or 4 and probably eat them slowly, however.

I just read the article - for those too turned off by the photo to click through, he won a salt potato eating contest. For a frame of reference, Mr. Chestnut ate the weight equivalent of Soloist Assassin's Cervelo in 10 minutes.

Mountain biking was not at all anything like I had expected. In fact, I don't think I really had any expectations for it other than to be a way to get off the road and see more. It's so much more.

Wait, you had never been on a mountain bike before? OOHHHHH dude, do yourself a favor and get a couple of these before you mess up a backcountry safety meeting.

I hope you take all the stuff you need with you in case you break down, because I don't think anyone else would ever happen upon you out there until you are partially decomposed.
