If anyone gets the chance to see Martin Short on his US tour, go. Saw him last night, very funny. Like an old vaudeville performer, he sings and does his comedy. Great night.

That's right. Mrs. RJ mentioned that an online listener from London had moved to Taiwan.

So many fit problems. Did 35 miles today. My wrist didn't bother me (finally figured it out) but between me legs kept going numb.

I got a flat but aside from that it was a pretty good ride.

7th today, stayed with lead group until 2 laps to go. Course had a big climb, and it sucked. Once I was dropped never got passed by anyone else, and I kept them to 30sec or so. It was raining, and snowing, and it sucked, but it beat not racing I suppose.

Anyone see any problems besides the living room disaster?
EDIT: I got it. I freaking got it. I tilted the nose of my saddle up 3 positions, flipped my stem. And that's it. Now there is no weight on my hands. And I don't feel like there is any pressure on my junk. Yesterday before my ride I lowered my saddle by about 1cm and tilted my bars up so I could ride on the hoods but I still had weight on my hands. If I took my hands off the bars I would slide forward - eventually falling if I didn't catch myself. So after some more videos and reading and two more adjustments I'm pretty sure I got it.

The first day I rode this year it was a 5 hour ride and it was about 3x worse than it is now. I make sure to wear a lot of sunscreen when I ride now. I hate looking like I'm wearing white cycling gear when it comes off.

Sounds like an epic race. No floods or locust?

Very windy today, plus some rain and a little hail. We decided to stay on the flats so we just did laps on a 4.4 mile section by the river. We are pretty limited on flats around here so have to take what we can get. Riding into the wind we were down to 10.8 mph at times. It sucked!

I hate when that happens.

Twobadfish, your position looks OK, and as you note, you relieved your wrist issues.
Only time will tell if you're more comfortable, but give it time to see how you feel.

He said he actually listens to the station. By the way, did you see any interesting animals on your ride today?

Yes it was, especially when I first started out going west into the headwind. Partially for that reason, I got lazy and decided to rest when I reached a short roller downhill. And by rest, I mean look down and not pay attention.
After I start building up speed, I look ahead a bit and PANIC ATTACK! there's a big dog ambling right into the middle of my lane.
I slammed on the brakes and skidded to the edge of the road, narrowly missing it. Funny thing was, the dog barely altered his direction. I'm about to have a heart attack and it paid no attention to me. I guess that was better than it getting excited and acting unpredictably, though.

So, your brakes work pretty well then.
