I had a good ride this morning/afternoon. Kind of a recovery ride before my I had to go for knee injections but still had a good time. Managed to get about 42 miles in which put me at 254 miles for the month. Not too bad of a week for a old, slow, fat guy with no friends other than his fish. That reminds me, I want a donut!

I heard about the people who drowned in the sewage. I was worried it was you until you posted. Thank goodness

Trying to burn some calories and riding is the best way that I know to do it.

I have been but to be honest, I just like riding my bike. I consider it a blessing every time I am able to ride considering that less than a year ago I was told I would never ride again.

I very rarely ride the same routes. Parts of my rides may be the same but not the entire route. This week I did do one climb three times but the routes were all different. It is one of the "easier" climbs in the area so it gets done quite a bit. Tuesday I did it after I did two other climbs, Wednesday I did it with a club ride, today I did it as part of my recovery ride.

None. I have only done one century since I got back on the bike last July.

Tuesday I rode 25 miles each way to spend 5 hours shoveling then stopped home long enough to refill a bottle and went for a 50 mile ride to a bike shop. My wheels are untrueable and warped from the salt and below zero exposure on my 30 lb commuter.
I think that you should either go farther afield or discover a further obstacle to overcome if you are getting complacent. Given your answer regarding centuries, riding till you puke is not going to be that challenge. Perhaps you could try being a randonneuse and haul a proper picnic basket to the idyllic hilltop vista of your choosing.
