I do as well. I seem to pass more horses than cows, and for some reason I whistle at them. I pass an emu (yes, in Western Ky - an emu), and I have no idea what to say to it. Honestly, it scares me more than most of the dogs on my ride - thank goodness the fence seems sturdy!!

My two year old son like to make siren noises when we pass a fire engine in the car. I found myself doing the same thing on the bike the other day. Maybe I need more sleep.

I think it is rude not to say hello to fellow riders as you pass. I am sure the cows and animals feel the same way.
I think most animals do not answer back, probably due to our use of proper accent. (Southern Cows not understandfding Northern bikers) But once in a while one does and responds back.

Yes I moo when at home in Ireland when enjoying the spin an everything is good in the world, but am now concerned as I do not know what to say to the cows in France when I am cycling there...anyone know what is Moo in French?
