(Huge sigs are kind-of egocentric and rude. Either the huge-sig people are being rude deliberately or they are clueless.)
The people riding behind you appreciate this "defect".
You must live on an island.
(Missed that.)

The LBS owner was very cool about it. He called my cell phone when I was in the ER (a couple police officers returned the bike to the shop after I was carted away in an ambulance) to make sure I was okay. Said not to worry about the bike. It helped that I did far more damage to myself than the bike. That was a 2010 Z85. I ended up buying a 2011 from him once I was back on the road.
I talked about this to another shop owner here a couple weeks ago, and he'd had someone t-bone a car on a test ride and totally destroy a bike. The manufacturer worked with the shop to repair/replace the demo. No charge to the customer. He said they consider the occasional test-ride crash a cost of doing business.

It's nice that you bought a bike from them and it's nice that they were a good shop to buy a bike from!

I'm a poseur.
An obsessive compulsive one, at that.

My employer found away around that by providing 1 ply at best. Actually i think it is measured in grits. Got bored once and actually took paint off the stall with it. Rumor has it they have 2 ply in the Executive offices.

1. I avoid the Politics and Religion forum like the plague even though I'm an assigned moderator there.
2. During fast group rides I've sworn I was going to buy a cruiser and stop all of this foolishness.
