This is a cultural bit of BS. Nothing wrong with being short. Napoleon was short. Marco Pantani was short. Didn't stop them from kicking ass.

When I was measuring for a new bike I found out I'm 2 inches shorter than I thought. I'm 5' 7" and I have 5' 9" on my damn drivers license.

@cocar: you are a sport. That back shot may be a first may be a first for the 41.
If you can build some leg strength I'll bet you could climb like an express elevator![/QUOTE]
I'm working on the leg strength. It's coming along, slowly. My legs are stronger than they were 6 months ago. Unfortunately there are no hills here to climb. West central Fl is hot, flat, and windy!

Confession time:
I don't care what the "Rules" form Velomanati say about much of anything (tape color, tire labels and valve stems, etc.)
I am a Clyde and always will be, nomograms at flight school showed I was supposed to weigh around 210 to 220 based on my bone structure (6'-1" the Naval BuMed guidelines said 209 max at that time.) I deal with it.
I ride with a wedge bag under my seat with a tube and patched and an inflation device.
I like the 41 and the rowdies that pop up here.
I ride SRAM and love it.
etc. etc, etc.....

I spent $3000 on a bike cause it looked SO COOL! Totally wrong bike for me. I hate riding it.
When I found out SRAM made a 36 cassette, I shed a little tear of joy.
My Saturday ride's 38.6 miles. I tell people I did 40.
I make up excuses to go hang out at the LBS. I check out the RB inventory every time, even though it rarely ever changes. I just look at the same bikes week after week. And like it.
When I get behind a girl jogging with a nice ass, I just slow way down & enjoy the view for awhile. Thank you, ladies!
Guess I better quit now, starting to sound a little creepy. At least I don't smell my fingers. But then again I don't use chamois cream.

No, I have several jerseys. But they are all sleevless. It is hot as hell with 100% humidity all the time here. I basically live in a swamp.
More confessions:
I just had to google velominity because I had no f'ing clue what that was
When I was test riding the bike I wound up buying in the parking lot, I ran into the shop owner's car. I had totally forgotten about that until right now, and now I can't stop laughing!

For years I hated road cyclists...and now I'm striving to be one.
I still hate when they close off roads for races and I am in a car....I wish I was in the race.
Errr.... That felt good.

I confess that I like COCAR's helmet hair.
I confess I just rewrapped by bars with the same bar tape I just took off.

There was basically nobody on the MUP today, so I rode on the left and said to myself "haha I'm a European!" I don't think I've ever talked to myself before. Maybe I'm going crazy.

I am 6'1" and don't have a girlfriend. You have one, AND she rides bikes.
You're golden.

When I started riding... I always laughed at the roadies in their spandex and jerseys...
Now that I'm putting more and more miles on my road bike... Yep, I'm rocking padded shorts... I'm still too much of a puss to ride just spandex, so I fred out and ride with breathable basketball shorts on top.
And I haven't ordered a jersey yet, cause I am pussing out still and won't think one will fit me for a while; but I want one soo badly so that I can stop having my under seat bag.
I also bought red annodized presta valve caps... Cause I like the way they look.

Heh.Make me laugh. Took the words right out of my mouth. Use an ultra light cheap fanny pack, and lose the seat bag. That way you can hide your velo-fashion sins because it won't show in your bike pics.

I confess I am most likely an idiot, because I attempted to ride this morning, even though there is a tropical storm going on. I made it about 6 miles. The rain I can deal with, the 35 MPH wind, not so much.

I would have went but my routes were flooded. Would have been pedaling under water.

Cocar, are you a surgeon or a surgical nurse? Just wondering cause your avatar looks like you are in scrubs and a gown/mask. No rain here, just a lot of wind, riding this afternoon regardless so another turkey out in the tropical weather besides you. Ride safe.

Okay I read your profile, a veterinarian, that is pretty cool too.
