Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yup. Same way I felt about Iraq . . . sure he was a tyrant, but he kept his zoo in check and he kept Iran in check and he kept the taliban out. NOW look at the mess we got!

Of course we won't be allowed to go too far with this discussion.

Doesn't appear so. Billy has been very patient. A kinder, gentler BF.

So far I am still a shade over $200, but I still need a cassette, and a right side shifter, so I can put the Trek back together.

The horror! The horror!

The mods do seem to be a bit more tolerant these days. Can I start dropping F bombs with impunity?

Hey RTDub,

What's the story on that hairpin turn yesterday? Tommy D called it "real scary" in the Post. Was it at 24 on the way down from Garden of the Gods?

Good work on the crowds yesterday. Nice to see the Springs turn out on a Monday afternoon.

So the Addict is out of the lineup for 2012. Didn't know that.

There's some chatter about it returning in 2013 at 600g.

I didn't feel it but just 3 miles away the wife felt it. The earthquake, that is.

I hear it was centered in Virginia, 300+ miles from here.

They felt it in Woodcliff Lake, NJ (Bergen County) which is about 30 miles south of here where Mrs. Pcad works, but nothing up here on Mt. Doom.

50 miles/hard intervals today on the Addict. Hey, my RHR is down to 47, so the intervals are finally working, I am gaining fitness.

Love that Addict. Very different feel from the S2, stiffer BB I think, just a different personality. I love both bikes, it would be hard to choose one or the other.
