Hot Women Will Laugh at Cyclist... According to GM

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

GM has always manufactured enpensive junker clunkers. So they paid big bucks for the Wall Street weenies to write an ad. And you see the result. Wonder how many sales the ad produced.

No, I drive the one with the most horsepower I can afford. Which is my business.

Some of us still believe in personal freedom.

BTW...I wonder how many wood stoves there are in Minnesota?

If I tell rw I recently bought Prius and Lexus hybrids, I'll never hear the end of it. At least I took the Obama bumper sticker off the Prius (it comes with those from the factory of course).

It'd seem that the ignorance doesn't stop with the cagers if a cyclist is bagging on diesel, when it is far more efficient and better for the environment than gasoline.
Not to mention, Diesels can be easily converted to run on veggie oil. A bit more difficult to do with gasoline powered engines.

I think it's the "arsehole" factor that makes many cyclist despise diesels, since often diesel drivers will floor the pedal to belch smoke in the face of cyclists.

I don't think cyclists attract women. The helmets, lycra diapers and stupid shoes we wear make us look like total dorks. Nice cars probably attract more guys than women who can actually carry on a conversation. Generally I find that women look for things like: nicely toned men in a uniform/suit, good manners, a sense of humor and decent oral hygiene.

One thing a bike does is provide some cardiovascular support and lower body tone. Competitive cyclist (not sprinters) have lousy-looking upper body definition reminiscent of Icahbod Crane.

I'd like to see the data on this statement. The gov't has tightened regulations on diesel exhaust every year for the last several years since diesel exhaust has been proven so harmful. It's hydrocarbon fuel, just as gasoline is and produces some of the same pollutants gas engines do, along with the particulates that get lodged in the lungs.
Modern diesel engines in automotive applications has sophisticated emission systems to help control the exhaust.
Diesel is noxious, horrible stuff.

I had a car full of girls next to me at a stop light giggling at me a while back. I figured they were laughing at the spandex, and then one of them says 'you have a great ass...' then the light turned green and they took off, leaving me to wonder how they knew I had a donkey...
