I normally do 20-25 miles alone. My longest solo ride so far is 43 miles. With the exception of about 100 miles, most of my 3,000+ miles this year were solo miles.

Almost all solo this year as I can't keep pace with the normal cycling circles (injury). Self supporting your long rides is a core competency and is actually pretty rewarding. Carrying a credit card, a $20 bill, and a phone go a long way for the "worst case scenario" (barring horrendous accident of course). I've yet to see a place without at least one motorist who will stop for a cyclist in distress on the roadside waving a $20 in the air....

This isn't like the 41. By now I thought we might have several responses of 250 miles solo at 25 mph pace

Throw the stick!!!!
One little note, if you do ride solo a good bit make sure you wear a road id or have some other type of identification. I hope you never need it though.

Most all of my riding is solo including centuries and the 60-80 milers leading up to them. All of the organized rides I do are solo. All you need is a watch and your route and you can compete with yourself. I have a blast on the centuries competing against time goals for the ride.
If you plan well, unsupported long rides are easy to set up and attempt. Route yourself an initial loop, say 30-50 miles out and back to your initial starting point. Your starting point then becomes your rest station/ending point also. Use it to refill bottles and access snacks/fuel. After that plan 10-20 mile loops that go around your starting point/rest station. If you plan them right, you will never stray more than 3-5 miles from your starting point. So if you bonk, or have problems you can get back to your starting point easily or help is close by. You can go as far as you choose and cut off your ride when you need to. If you are really trying to find your limit, route yourself a "Champs Elyesse" around your starting point/resting station. Then when you start to tire, move to it and just keep doing the loop until you bonk and troll/coast back to the rest station. On these rides my house is the rest station/ starting point.

I'm most likely doing 135 solo on Saturday.
Unless you are far away from civilization, just carry a phone, a wad of bills, and know how to change a flat.

VERY good advise. Nothing like finding a "jon jones" knocked out on the side of the road and not finding a "return to sender" label somewhere.

My longest solo ride was 102 miles. Did three other solo centuries last year, and one this year. Most of my 4,000 miles this year has been solo. I'll ride 25-35 miles several times during the week, then 50-70+ mile rides on Saturday.

I was used to do solo intercity tours spanning a week or two, ranging btw 500-1500 km. Once I've done an international tour (Europe) of 3000 kms (1865 miles) in 30 days. My daily record is 204 kms/day (127 miles). When I tour, I use my touring bike and load it up so that it is over 50 kgs (6 bags/cases on one bike). I like "hard vacations". I was 29 by then.
For daily tours I use mountain bike (on road 90%, offroad 10%) with just a tiny backpack and I do around 60-80 kms (32-50 miles) a day when it's sunny and dry out there. I always stand while riding (at all times, pedalling or freewheeling), so I use just top 5 gears at rear, and always the top gear at front. I'm 49 now.
I ride just for the fun of it. Also as a workout and for its refreshing effects. Always solo, seldom within a large group (200-400 km fun tours). Never raced.
I plan to do another international tour next summer, this time spanning 2 months. Start from Turkey, go west following Mediterranean shore line of southern Europe, jump to Morocco from Spain at the west end. And then return back following Mediterranean shore line of northern Africa. Actually it will be more a Mediterranean tour than a European one. On the way back, Libya, Egypt and Israel may be problematic. Possibly I might change the route and return through central Europe. More possibly, I will get lazy and distracted (one day pedalling, next day swimming and taking it easy). After all, my main idea of touring is to have fun. So I'll probably spend all the time for just going, and then fly back home.
It will have to be a solo tour, as I don't know anyone who would participate in such a tour. Solo long tours are not much fun at all. Sweating it out all alone under the sun at mountains, hearing the cheers of people around recreational areas but having noone along to cheer to... not funny at all. Perhaps I should join a local bikini - oops err I mien biking club.
PS: What's a "century ride" ?

102 miles on a day last year with a high of 98. Boy, was I wiped at the end. Needless to say, had to stop multiple times to refill my bottles. Other than some extra food and Nuun, I didn't carry any more than I would on a 50 miler. However, I planned the route so I knew I'd be able to refill.

I rode a 600 km randonnee in central Alberta in 2007 solo ... just a shade under 40 hours on the bicycle by myself.
Here's the story ... https://www.machka.net/2007/2007_600_RedDeer.htm
I've done several other randonnees solo as well, but that was the most recent one.
