WHOOOOOSH,
Whereabouts in the RIC? North or south of the James? Seems to be a fair amount of Richmonders and Virginians on BF. I mostly hang on the C & V forum.

40-60 miles is my limit right now, as long as it isn't too windy. I'd like to get up to the 100 mile mark one day.
Average speed on longer rides, 15-16 mph.

150 miles is my furthest solo ride. That was training for riding across the US though, I haven't done much long distance since then.

I always assumed people did most of their riding solo. I like doing my own thing. I only like riding with a group once or twice a week.
My longest solo ride is a 104 mile century.

see I always thought people rode in groups or pairs...I truly enjoy riding with my friend and don't enjoy my rides alone so much. I like knowing that I'm pushing a little bit harder because I'm trying to not be the slower rider, I know he does the same. If I do solo rides I usually do the regular 22mi route I hate and I try to do it fairly quick...I have an avg time that I try to beat.

99% of my rides are solo. Which is bad because I aspire to be a racer. Longest I've ever done solo is 102 miles, back in January. Just got up on a Saturday morning and decided to see what 100 miles felt like (had never done a century before that). It felt good. I need to do it again soon.....

Couldn't leave with the rest of the group on the first day of our cross-state tour, so left the 2nd day and took a different route to rendezvous with the group on the second night. 111 miles. One of my most memorable rides.

64miles slow cruising on an MUP all the way. It was a weekday morning and I was the only person riding. so I just put on my head phones and cranked up the dubstep.

I do almost all my long rides solo. Too much dang stoppage with groups once you're over 50 miles. Invariably somebody wants to eat, drink, pee, etc. once you're stretching out to 5+ hrs. Even competitive roadies.

About fifty miles. Left my credit card at a rest stop fast-food restaurant while touring in Arizona. Had to ride round trip from the motel to the restaurant and back.

I have gone a little further on my own on group rides.
