Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Stem Length?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2011 CAAD10 105 size 50cm off craigslist and I was curious the stock stem length. I can't seem to find a measurement anywhere on it. I'm assuming for being such a small frame its a 80-85mm stem length? Any help is much appreciated.

Bikes: Yes

Measure like this to where the stem body (black part) ends. It will be close enough.

The measurement technique shown above will usually produce a reading that is 3-5mm longer than the advertised length. For example, if you get around 113mm, then it's a 110. The resaon for this is the length is actually defined as a line running parallel to the stem, but through the center of the bar clamp (not the top) , to the centerline of the steering tube.
