Come to think of it. She just turned 20 she can't own a pistol for another year. IDK last time I was there was in the 80's, and my dad had to beat down a mugger after the Yankee's game we went to. Well, I've been there since then, but I've always handled my business, and gtfo. Maybe my friend the Jets cheerleader can show her around.

I think Soloist would fit right in some areas outside town here (except he'd have to learn how to climb hills).

Every once in a while when I'm riding about I hear gun shots. I can't tell if someone is shooting at me, an innocent animal, or some cans in the back yard. Either way, it's disconcerting.

Gomer fast forward this to 2:06. The same thing happens around here in where I ride, out in the hills. It certainly isn't comforting.

No, your friend the Jets cheerleader can show me around.

First you said bring one, now that I won't be your Jack Kervorkian, you don't want one. Make up your mind.

I'd love to spend time with you. Unarmed. That way if you want to kill me, you'll have to do it with a bicycle. You can borrow one of mine, they're all about 56cm.

I went to college in NY City in the late 70's. You know, the era of 'Taxi Driver' . Parts of the city really were as depicted in the film, but the dangers of NY were always over-hyped. It's MUCH safer now. Hell, Times Square has turned from a pimpfest into an urban Disney World.

Ohio is like Mogadishu?

sbxx1985 02-13-12 10:51 PM

I've been to Columbus. It wasn't like Mogadishu.

To be fair, the OSU athletic department has been pretty lawless.

$500/share for this company is the least surprising investment news of 2012. All things considered, the stock should be over $600/share. Maybe that's why it's set to pop another $4+ when it opens this AM. I keep waiting for it to consolidate and take a breather, but it's not happening.

I was in Clearwater Fl and that place seemed much less safe than NYC.

That's a kind thought, but methinks she is away.

I was in Clearwater Fl and had a nice ride on the bike trail. It was a lot of fun

That's what people always say before a stock comes back to earth.

Best quote: Mary Collins, another neighbor said, "wow, that's a hard pill to swallow."

I'll worry about that when it's trading over 15x earnings. Not even close. The stock remains cheap. That may be impossible for you to wrap your Gomer head around, but it's not the share price that determines whether a stock is too pricey, it's the multiple.

I thought it's p/e that matters. No??

The multiple is the p/e ratio. Stock valuation for dummies. By the way, considering that fact that the company has a cool hundred billion in cash on the balance sheet, you'd really have to factor that in, and the Seeking Alpha piece referenced above does not. That would skew all the p/e numbers 20% in favor of the stock's value.

Like I said, the stock is currently cheap by most accepted investing metrics.

What happened to the $650 handbuilt wheel thread?

I'm curious why it was deleted. Lock it, if necessary, but don't delete it.

That's just not how things are done around here. Because.

There's no shortage of ways to crunch the numbers. But somehow the only metric that seems matter is whether the herd has decided to buy or decided to sell.

So if the market movers wake up tomorrow and say, "OMG! Greece!", you could quickly kiss goodbye to 10% or more off AAPL, regardless of how much cash it has.

v70cat 02-14-12 12:12 PM

Greece is over. They are getting in the rear from Germany

I was in the middle of reading it and *poof*, no next page.

RollCNY 02-14-12 12:44 PM

I was following it on the premise that if 220 lbs can do 1200g then my 205 lbs should be okay on 1118 g, right? :thumb:
