Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I voted white. Perhaps you should change the bar tape to black or red afterwards for color balance though?
Going with the evo curve, as I do find these new shapes to be more comfortable than either trad bar shape or the ergo shapes that were popular over the last few years. FWIW, I'm also changing to a WCS fork since my dumbass over-torqued my C'dale slice. Should be a nice final product I hope!

The only way (and I stress only) for red to look cool is if each and every red part matches and is the exact same shade.
He's going to buy the Richey WCS stuff as a package, so all those parts will be the same shade. The accents in the decals will probably be different, but they are self-consistent. So he'll have two shades of red, but evenly distributed. It'll totally work.

I agree that every component a slightly different shade of red would look off, but sourcing everything from the same OEM solves that problem.

Your bike has some nice highlights but I think trying to accent them brings out the red too much. Black would tone it down and I think look best.

white by a long shot, but personally I'd do all black with red tape. Finding pieces that are black with red accents would be awesome, too.

Well, it's been done. And the winner is...........WHITE! Bars, stem, seatpost - all for $240 shipped. Oooh sweet stiffness!
