Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If those idiots think I'm going to watch a 30 second spot to watch a five minute clip, they can join all Yahoo videos on my Ignore list.

The Finger Lakes are very nice area did you get to Watkins Glen? I did the ride to Montauk yesterday 155 miles and a head wind the whole way. I had a girl from from that area and know it well (25 years ago).

Nice home microphone.
The reverb was a bit much but it was not bad.

I think he should do cycling songs like a 150 miles in a head wind is a long way from Tipperary.

I like the way Trek integrates spedo and cadence senors in the frame.

After ten hours in the office yesterday, I am back at the office today (later this morning). No ride for two days, and my legs feel it. They want to get out and do their thing.

Release the hounds!

Or anything from The Kingston Trio, like The Tattooed Lady, or The Man Who Never Returned.

Does he do requests?

Back in my drinking days me and a pal, who were far to young to be Kingston Trio-ites, would freak people out at the bar by starting The Tattooed Lady at the same time from different ends of the bar. By the end of the night, we had the whole bar singing it.

Did not get to Watkins, even though it was on one of my possible routes. Saw Palmyra, 2nd birthplace of the Mormons, and Holy Cow they had bunches of LDS crap everywhere. I kept expecting to see a 60 foot inflatable Mitt Romney.

The south end of the lakes have the worst of the hills, so as I was losing it I pushed north. Was planning on spending Saturday night with family in Ithaca, but got to a point where I was 40 hilly miles from there and 50 flat miles from home and topography always wins.

Nice work LC!!!!!!

I just saw a guy cross the finishline @ our local marathon with a GoPro on his head. He's the proud new owner of nearly 5 hours of unwatchable video.
