Wow, I paid that much for a 2005 Solano frame with an Reynolds fork last year.

Yeah. I remember Performance has a set of full carbon forks (Forte Axis Pro?) that were very light. I feel very lucky that I snagged one then (about 4 years ago) now very light 1" forks are quite hard to find.
