Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One of the bigger local cases of 2011 brought this to the public eye for the first time, although indeterminate sentencing has existed in Colorado since November 1998. Too harsh? Even Kobe's lawyer couldn't save him.

Oh, I don't think you have to worry about the terms 'serious' and 'musician' being used in conjunction with my musical pursuits.

Yesterday @ physical therapy, I got the first crystal clear picture of exactly what is wrong with me, and it wasn't pretty. At least I have a very good idea of where and what the issue is. Pelvic floor dysfunction indeed, I can point to the exact spot. Whether months of rest off the bike allow this to heal is uncertain, but it is much better after two weeks off the bike. I think it needs 2-3+ MONTHS off the bike. Lotta dog walks.

The anatomy (TMI alert): the muscles on either side of your bunghole are the anal area are the levator ani, (that's latin for elevating your anus), I'm sure one of the things they help you do is defecate, but as a cyclist, you SIT right on these muscles. Mine on the left side sustained some kind of strain, they are VERY sore, and the longer I stay off the bike the more they calm down. It's pretty clear to me, the doctor, the physical therapist now, everything is consistent with that diagnosis. Not an uncommon condition, and when it's sore, it's painful in a area where you really don't want pain. Pain there that might be a 2 elsewhere is a 4 in that area. Trust me on this.

Hey, half of these idiots may sustain this injury some day, probably a good thing for cyclists to know about. They should all stretch to prevent this.

I had stopped for 7 months, but stupidly slipped off and got run over by the wagon. I've lately been looking for a Marlboro jersey, but they don't seem to be popular in cycling apparel.

If, according to your self-diagnosis, you're just going to dog walk for "2-3+ MONTHS," why bother seeing a physical therapist?

I love that the anatomy drawing includes little curly hairs.

Congrats pcad, you figured out a way to post a picture of a dick and ******* and be legitimately educational. That's the BF version of the Pick-Up Guy Joke

This condition has been definitively proven to be cured or avoided by use of a Brooks Pro saddle.
Trust me on this.
