That reminds me of the last time I helped someone in need. An older black man was walking down the street and it was raining heavily. I stopped turned my truck around and offered to give him a ride. He took a second to think about it and then got in my truck. I guess he was questioning the intentions of a white guy with a shaved head. When we arrived back at his house he offered to smoke a cigar filled with marijuana with me for helping him out. I was real sore from the previous day's ride so I said sure. It worked like magic too btw. Three weeks later the guy was shot and killed in his home. It kind of freaked me out. I'll be more choosy who I help from now on myself.

I'm going back to london next month so I sent an email to my chums to suggest meeting up. They seemed luke warm. A lesser man would be disheartened but not I. I will show up, force them to go out for a dink and bore them to death talking about cycling.
