I have a kit but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. My wife bought it for me for Christmas last year.

Another question - I bought the Bell Wireless Cyclocomputer. Do you recommend wireless or wire?

Since you got the wireless, I recommend the wireless. I have had the wireless before and it would fail to register at times but all in all it was quite solid

I wonder what they would think if Datlas showed up.

Cool, thanks for the additional information, as I didn't know about the shorter small intestine.

What I was calling incorrect was the statement of:
Throw the same stuff to a cat and you get a look that says " yeah, right, as if".

When we have a cat that meows and begs like a dog for people food, and steals various things off the counter regardless of whether or not she's actually able to digest any of it.

Gotcha.

We're hoping to take a class at the brewer supply place, and then buy the kit. It's been discussed for a few years now but never do it. In the meantime we've collected a pretty good number of bottles to use. I'm resistant mostly because it'll just be adding one more thing to my list of responsibilities around the house and it's something I'm kind of "meh" about. I love beer, but I'm not sure I need to make it.

Definitely wireless. The only catch is that with some cheaper computers lights can interfere. That only comes into play if you do much night riding.

Thanks, not a problem. I'm hardly riding during the day.

Play time.

Wireless looks cleaner but wired can look okay if you do it right.

I was more concerned about accuracy. I had wire when I first bought the bike but it stopped working at some point - can't remember the time frame. What brand did you buy? Nice job btw wiring it.

Just get the basic tune-up (unless your drive train is really mucked up). Sounds like he does a cursory cleaning too as part of it anyway.

If he's gonna charge a large extra amount to do the spoke cleaning, just go to your local HomeDepot or Lowes to the paint/sandpaper section and buy very fine sandpaper sponges. They're smallish - like 3" square by 1" thick. May only need one or two. A few swipes up and down each spoke should remove the corrossion. If you have some fine grit sandpaper around the house (320 or 400) that'll work just as well too.

The bike looks brand new. He showed me the can of spray he would use to clean the spokes but I didn't write down the name. He was including the cleaning of the spokes in the price. I'll most likely go with the basic tune-up & hope the spokes will be included with that price vs. racing.

FYI: This is my original post when I first joined BF: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...0#post15026540

I got various suggestions.

Dogs/Cats can survive, goal is for them to thrive.

Look like great links. Thank you!

I was heading to bed and trying to make a long story short, I'll fill you in with more details of Moose's ills soon.

Thanks for being proactive and taking the time to read the links I send. I learned to always get other opinions and don't believe everything one Vet is advising to do. There are many paths to the top of the mountain.

Merchandise can always be returned. I keep receipts. I've returned merchandise 3 months later and got a credit for it.

The purists prefer wireless so it doesn't compromise the aesthetic of your bike. My feeling is "whatever works"

This was the wrong place for this question. Plus, nice autocorrect on "Bob drop!"

Anyway, 2"? I think you might be doing some conversion wrong. About 5mm less BB drop might be typical, 50mm I don't think so. (Just to make sure I wasn't high or something, I looked at looked at geometries for Specialized, Trek, Ridley, and Felt. Boy does Trek's web site suck.) At 50mm remounting would become quite a bit more... emasculating.

You are right, I had cm's in mind, and wasn't thinking mm's. I saw the bb to bob change afterward. New tablet apparently has auto correct.

She is supposed to become the ex Ms. Solo today. Unless she finds something to say that will change his mind.

Ahhh, so sweet. I love happy endings too. I hope Solo will be spending more time with his dog/bike/car.:) Glad others thought of Solo today besides me. I was hoping to know the outcome by now.

I must admit I don't qualify to be a purist. Mirror would be acceptable, but not the horn or duffle bag rack. But I look great in my Descente shorts, Giro helmet, gloves, SDI shoes. If I ride on the sidewalk, folks here are hard of hearing, sometimes the horn thing works, sometimes it doesn't.
