I've only had two today. However, the second was taken on an empty stomach. What could go wrong?!?!?

I think I am going to have my dog start peer reviewing my BF posts.

I don't think the 'r' applies here :)

I'm not a huge fan of Lord of the Rings but will probably still end up watching The Hobbit, just not in 3D. Let me know what you think of it.

LC, congrats on updating the sig link to the TM01. Very nice. Don't fret the ankle. I have had respiratory issues/illness since Thanksgiving, and haven't dared ride out in the cold since. A couple trainer rides do not keep the jonesing in check.

I really should just build a bike to take my mind off of it.

Thanks, hope you get over your illness soon. I bought a new cross bike but I am making a few changes to it so that is giving me a little something to do.

Did you all see this new titanium tt bike? Doesn't do a lot for me but I'm sure many will find it drool worthy.

Smart marketing.

In addition to Christmas cards, have you received a christmas newsletter? Apparently some people send such long winded smug reviews to tell everyone about their triumphs.

The doctors drained TWO LITERS of fluid off my Dad's lung today. Nothing appears on the X-rays (i.e. lesions, etc.), they did a CT scan today, he'll get results later this week. He's 89. When he asked them what could have caused it the doctor said 'oh, anything'.

That's the kind of pinpoint and insightful medical diagnoses that I've been getting lately.

Two liters? That's like a half gallon of milk. No wonder he was winded climbing the stairs. After they drained the fluid his blood oxygen level went from 92 to 97, whatever that means. Maybe my Dad is using EPO.

I have a picture on my wall of me as an infant (I had to be no older than 8 months old in this photo) crawling on the floor in a patch of sunlight as my Dad bends over me. Great shot, c. 1958. He was only 34 years old in that photo.

Yes, I am fat in that picture.

Yikes. They did that do my friend who has COPD earlier this year. He was laid up for a few days. Hope your Pop gets better quick.

Tonight between volleyball games I struggled to do four pull ups.

LesterOfPuppets 12-17-12 10:28 PM

That's what I maxed out @ a couple years ago. I should see if all the rope jumping has primed me for more reps on the pullup bar.

How would jump roping help you do pull ups?

LesterOfPuppets 12-17-12 10:37 PM

It's a holistic approach ;)

Sounds like you've been getting fitness tips from coasting.

OK, since everyone is still all hot and heavy about guns, I have a gun question: What's the difference between a "high-power" rifle and a regular rifle?

Sorry to hear about your Dad, he should have gotten a better answer to his question - maybe a list of possibilities to narrow it down vs. 'oh anything. So a hang nail could make his lung fill up with fluid??? Does his doctor have a computer - you might want to show him how to google if he doesn't have a precise answer - print this out and give it to him for his next patient asking same question.

Wishing your dad a speedy recovery.

Back.

Going to the movies at 8:30 on a rainy Monday night is like having a private screening.
