Thanks. But soloist, you are a racer no? riding with a newbie must be a bit difficult. For me, I'm not much faster and she was a total beginner and my lack of fitness matched her lack of confidence so we were sort of similar speed.

Also annoying: People who begin sentences with 'Look' or 'Listen', and/or who finish sentences with 'You know what I mean?' I like to confuse them by stopping them and saying, 'No, I do not know what you mean.'

This. I also ride heavy slow mountain bikes when I ride with her so I can still get a workout. Then the time we rode a tandem was really good. It was a great workout, when she took her feet off the pedals it was really tough. She rides a Trek hybrid now, so when I give her the Ruby she should be faster anyway. I usually save my rides with her for recovery days anyway, so it's actually helpful, because I have a hard time taking it easy by myself.
