Oh wait, no, maybe it's because of those darn cyclists. They're literally taking time away from my family!! Surely that makes it okay to buzz them. Wait wait...no, maybe it's because of drivers in other cities, smaller ones - those bastards are just stoned all the time anyways.

Anyways, if one should happen to bobble or hit a pothole or something and you hit him, hey it's sure not YOUR fault, amirite???

Did you actually read what gadabout wrote? I think you are trying to start an arguement out of nothing. He's simply stating how filtering in a city with as many drivers as his can be very dangerous for both motorists and cyclists. Believe it or not some of us drive cars and ride bikes. Just because someone chooses to ride everyday versus drive doesn't make them anymore of a cyclist as us folks you drive to work everyday. There are plenty of jobs that warrant someone the chance to ride to work everyday. However I myself wear a suit everyday and therefore cant ride the 40 miles to work. So does that mean I cannot speak on behalf of both motorists and cyclists when it comes to driving issues?

Getting a new bike and not being able to ride it. :o

I don't know if it's a pet peeve, but definitely a peeve:
Driving to the start of a bike ride and then realizing you forgot something bike related.

Then you go and ride the ride just for the fun of it, eh?

Oh boy, that reminds me of a ditzy woman I once considered dating who wanted to go ride an easy MTB trail. Her idea. We arrived at the rendezvous point (I rode my bike, she drove), and I waited patiently for her to get ready. Only to discover she had left her shoes at home.

She said not to worry, she would ride in her... SOCKS!!! Crikey, woman, there's no way you'd gete more than 200 metres down the track.

I sent her home (about 20 minutes away) to get her shoes... and by the time she got back, the guy she actually fancied had turned up for the ride, too. The rest of the day was a bit awkward from then on.

Oh well...

-Drivers that are on their phones
-Cyclists that race on MUP. Also training rides on MUP, saw that a couple of times.
-Drivers that treat a stop sign like a yield sign.
-Poor bar to drop on an aero bike
-Girls that share their drama on facebook
-People to say "Do you even lift?"

Just a wheel. I've almost made it out of the driveway without the bike. Since my bike is always in my car it is away to.forget if I took it out for some reason.

Other peoples dogs crapping on my lawn and not picking it up.

woodcraft 12-19-12 11:57 AM

Oh yeah, - masking tape

And the 3M Co.

So crappy that you can't get it off the roll without it tearing,

Then OK blue tape at inflated prices

Then make the regular tape even worse, to increase sales of the blue tape

Then wildly inflate prices of the blue tape

Not a big fan of duct tape, either, but that's not really a peeve.

What can I say? Great minds think alike.

BlazingPedals 12-19-12 02:29 PM

One-and-two day bike rides that require eye-popping entry fees, and then try to excuse it by saying, "it's for charity." If I pay $2000 for a 2-day ride, they'd better not give me a 'free' jersey; I expect a 'free' CF bike - and for them to pedal it for me too.
