It's like they think you will give them a contagious disease if they get within 10 yards of you.

We got a salesman out here who is 6-2" at Least 275lbs, I remember him talking about how much he likes his Cervelo S3 with 8 thousand dollar carbon fiber wheels he put on it...yikes

People debating why 6/2(1+2) should have different answers

Chris516 03-13-13 12:31 PM

Motorists' who insist on crossing the double-yellow solid line to pass. When either, the legal chance to pass is only a short distance away, or, the nearest 'traffic control' device is only a few hundred yards ahead, that won't be changing any time soon. When, If it was another motorist, they would wait behind the other motorist.

Also, Motorists' who insist on passing a cyclist by crossing the double-yellow line. When, The cyclist is almost going faster than the posted speed limit(ex. 25 in 30mph, or 30 in 40mph), and again, they wouldn't do that if it was another motorist going the speed limit.

Store clerks in department stores asking me: "will that be on your [department store] credit card?" when they don't know whether I have a card or not. When I blurt out that I don't have one and don't want one I get a raised eyebrow as if I'm being irresponsible for not taking advantage of all the delights that come with a card-or that I must be a credit deadbeat. And in the Hudson's Bay store there's an additional implication that I'm being unCanadian - or am I just being paranoid?

dalava 03-13-13 12:44 PM

^ yes, it annoys me too when they do that, but yes, you are a bit paranoid too :)

They do that because it's a more effective phrasing to get you to sign up for one. Yes, annoying though.

I just swipe my card without a word. They get the idea. (I'm not very in to the congenial cashier thing either way.)

Team Sky annoys me with their holier-than-thou attitude. I rather root for bunch of ex-dopers from Team Garmin-Sharp.

When these FREAKING GROUND SQUIRRELS run out in front of my bike and then suddenly turn back. I swear, one day I'm just going to keep rolling.

Haha, that happened to me once when I was about 12 years old when riding my bike. I kept riding, and cut off about half of the squirrels tail :(

People horning at bicyclists while they are in the bike line.

cccorlew 03-13-13 10:12 PM

Arm warmer or knee warmer gap. I know it shouldn't matter, but for inexplicable reasons, likely my own fault, it offends my sensibilities.

+1 on squirrels. Get a clue, you annoying creatures.

No idea where it comes from, but everyone from Ohio says "acrost".

For me it's a flock of seagulls - I race them and they chase and try to poop on me. They've come within 2 feet so far, but I'm still winning.
