LAJ - you are seriously projecting with our statement about a permanent muzzle. Go back through the pages and see where that was ever suggested.

expressing my opinion on the actions of others is hardly a delinquency.

I thought you meant the donut/doughnut guy. Glad you cleared that up.

So here's my question. You've trashed this thread for months, basically calling it the sweaty ass of BF. Yet you continue to post here. Then you proclaim your 2013 resolution is to not post in this thread. Yet you continue to post here. What's the story?

The way I see it, which is worth absolutely nothing, is either post or don't. But at least STFU about how much the thread sucks.

No Canadian citizenship for you.

I can only dream one day I will be able to sit on top of my own high horse, and pass judgement on you.
Ohhhh no you don't!

Look man... dozens of people here with significantly more life experience than you spotted the red flags snapping in the breeze with your "new" relationship and tried to help you out before things went to hell in a handbasket (as they - to no surprise to anybody but you, ultimately did) and you chose to ignore the advice. Not just "ignore"; willfully ignore.

And hey - guess what? You got to reap the whirlwind.

But I for one, and many others as well, chose not to pile on with "I told you so" because, (at least for me) the only victim of your idiocy is you. Self inflicted wound. All that pain and angst is limited just to you; nobody else was hurt (not even, seemingly, She Who Must Not Be Named). And on top of that, the whole reason why those of us with life experience spotted the red flags in the first place is because some (most? all?) of us have Stuck Our Dicks In Crazy before, thus learning the Valuable Life Lesson, and so perhaps those in glass houses should not be chucking rocks.

But when you branched out to DUI - and when you called a 0.1 blow "slightly" over the limit - then you crossed a line. You went from soap opera train wreck, but ultimately harmless, to actual legitmate threat. You risked the lives of every single person who was on the road with you that night, and they had no idea that they were in danger and you denied them any way to defend themselves. You metaphorically loaded a couple of cylinders in a revolver and pointed it at every single car, pedestrian, and cyclist - cyclist - you encountered, and then pulled the ****ing trigger and it was only pure dumb stupid luck that the gun never went off.

How many people have been killed by drunk drivers? How many of US have been killed by drunk drivers? And yet you saw fit to join the ranks of the criminally irresponsible, and it is only pure stupid chance that you did not join the ranks of the murderers.

You, Sir, make bad life decisions. You NEED to internalize this before somebody ****ing DIES. And you do NOT get to throw rocks at people who are trying to bring your attention to your BULL**** rationalizations.

Solo, you are NOT A VICTIM. You are a perp.

The question is - will you stay that way?

DG

I am going to stick with my friendly group ride analogy:

If you don't like the conversation, quietly drop off the back. Keep an eye on us, and rejoin if you want.

But if you take off like a rabbit, and call us all sums of bridges, then you should stay off the front, because if you get caught back in the pack, you will hear about it.

I was annoyed after the kitten control incident, and the Night of the Long Deletes, and I figured I had had enough Addiction. I fell off the back. It lasted a month.

Ultimately, I find you folks to be enjoyable riding company. So I'm back. Nyah Nyah.

EDIT: This was in response to the Sbxx to RTDub commentary, which I forgot to quote.

You aren't a victim either old man.

But at least you are unlikely to kill anyone.

I am sorry about Sam though.

My opinion on SA's DUI, I'm sure you have all been dying to hear it. First I do think he was an idiot for getting behind the wheel. Second, I know very few people that could not have been busted for a DUI at one point or another in their lives. I know I have been very, very lucky to never get one. There were plenty of opportunities for me to have had a DUI (at the minimum). I am so blessed to never kill anyone else or myself when I was in the bad phase of my life. My wife did get a DUI (prior to me meeting her). She learned from that as I hope that SA does.

Just about anyone can get a DUI, looking at my past I can not judge SA based on this mistake, I am just very glad that a DUI is all that came out of his experience. I'm sure there are a few people out there that can honestly say that they have never gotten behind the wheel after a drink or two. I can't.

This thread rules. I was kinda blue this morning but reading the last couple pages of mayhem brought a smile to my face.

AND the sun has come out! Cant wait til lunchtime, gonna trade the commuterized Mongoose in for the worlds heaviest road bike and go for a long road ride into Portland.

On the other hand, I consider it one of my Papal Duties to point out the shortcomings of the 41 in general, and of Addiction in particular.
