oooooo...the quivering bosoms.

coasting 02-21-13 10:46 AM

heaving...

I think that's what attracts pcad to these dramas.

I wouldn't know, I haven't seen his heaving, quivering, dammed bosoms.

I can't believe women actually used to wear those things. I wonder if it's all a scam to get the ratings up.

Obviously, it works.

Ugh... Girl Scout cookies have arrived. Time to increase my workouts.

Coincidentally, tonight. Just got back from the airport. Apparently San Francisco is a great place. Whatever.

Post it here and I'll make a list. I'm very good at finding fault in other people's work.

Good. Now you can stop watching period dramas

RecceDG 02-21-13 11:43 AM

BSG was awesome because it was Canadian.

I have a "6 degrees of Kevin Bacon" with regard to that show - the people who made all the uniforms (Claymore Clothes) made my mess kit uniform.

Other shows made of awesome - Farscape, Lexx, and Babylon 5.

Everybody's a critic. Besides, nobody cares what you think.

truckstop 02-21-13 11:49 AM

Haha... I was going to mention the heaving corseted bosoms. DA doesn't really have much of that. It's too modern and there aren't many corsets.

"Daniel Deronda" has Hugh Bonneville as a skeezy bad guy and also features corsets and a pretty blonde.

My musical sensibilities are just as good as anyone's in the "more populous Bergen County NJ," in the shadow of the fabled George Washington Bridge.

Oh, and tiny hats. Lots of tiny hats. I half expected Kristen Wiig to pop out of the background.

This Bergen County group of amateur songwriters were a total facepalm. I was like the second coming of Lennon/McCartney in comparison. It was bad. Very bad.

Don't jump off the fabled bridge.

A story of personal triumph - I bought 3 boxes of GS cookies on SuperBowl Sunday (2/3) and ate the last of them two days ago (my wife probably had 1/3 of them). And I only had two Thin Mint Hot Fudge Sundaes.

It's only 45 miles from my driveway baby. A cyclist pal of mine from Manhattan who rides over that bridge often on his training rides actually witnessed a suicide plunge there a couple of weeks ago.

Well, it *is*!

I'm biased, of course, and just go to visit now, but I love it. Phone Park is a great place to watch a baseball game: sausage dogs, garlic fries, good beer, and Buster Posey. I'm set.

Herbie53 02-21-13 12:21 PM

BSG had me at Number 6.

There are some that advocate that gluten is damaging to the digestive system (for people with celiac disease, it is). I'm researching the impact of gluten and autoimmune disease ("leaky gut"). Interesting reading.
