I'm having water myself tonight.

I'm having my regular nightcap, vodka w/ oj & cranberry.

We used to have a neighbor who only drank vodka and cranberry juice.

Black tea w/ halfnhalf for me.

Ahhhh.

So, this girl I liked better than last night's. Talked for nearly three hours, but she has work in the morning so we couldn't go do anything else after food. Seemed to be going well, certainly for being there that long and having a great time talking, got a hug with hand squeeze at the end, but no body language indicating kissing. Still somewhat worried with the lack of kissing. Also haven't heard from last night's, after texting her early this afternoon saying I had a great time and we should do it again.

Dating sucks.

+1. The dating is brutal. It was so much easier with booze. Brunch date for me tomorrow. I have a history of getting lucky on Superbowl Sunday but it might be tough to keep that streak alive coming offa brunch when I gotta work @ 11...

A lot of girls don't seem to want to drink on dates, or at least the first one. There is a strong correlation, in my experience, with a girl who has a couple drinks and getting farther than date one. Really liked this one. Hope I get to see her again. But now I get to worry, which sucks.

The lady @the bike store asked me why I wanted smooth valve tubes yesterday. Seemed like a weird question. For a second I thought she might try to talk me out of them but surely my grey beard and crotchetiness dissuaded her from doing so.

My ****ty floor pump has trouble with smooth valve stems. Pump head will slide off at high pressure.

+1 to that.

Having a lot of trouble getting on the trainer this morning.

I got up for a predawn fixie rollout to the coffeeshop in thick peasoup. My 3' beefstick coil fell out of my backpack so I need to seek other sustenance before riding on.

I only need 14 minutes to hit my goal of 9 hours for the week. I may be an overachiever and do a whole 30 minutes though. :D

Don't stress yourself! Wouldn't want to overdo it. I'll be doing the easy neighborhood cruise group ride, then some hill repeats. Only a couple hours total for the week for me, though. One the bike, at least.

30 Minutes seems like an awfully long bike ride :)

I just saw some Look cleats for $16 and put 'em in my cart. I might be clipping in any day now.....

30 minute walk with Benson; our usual morning routine. It's a bit nippy, but the sun's out.

I watched some youtube clips of the Nyack ride. Looks like it rolls through some nice areas. More scenic than Toronto's donut ride
