I went to the pool (roads too icy to ride) and swam 1500m.

My swim sucks. Really sucks.

The only good thing about it is there is lots of room for improvement. I am meeting with a coach on Wednesday and am hoping there are some easy fixes.

If not, I may end up being a duathalete.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I am really bad. I can maintain 20MPH on the flats, run 8 minute miles for an hour, but my swim sucks. Today's 1500m took me 39:10. Compared to my bike and run abilities (which I would say are middle-of-pack), my swim is weak.

While I've been spared the lunacy that comes with the Packers going to the Super Bowl, we're still being subjected to endless commentary about the two coaches. Their parents live around here apparently. The weird thing is that I don't think they're from here. They moved around a lot, so I'm confused as to why the heck two older retirees would pick to live here of all godforsaken places.

3mile run, 45min of weights then 15min on the elliptical. Felt good. I will ride and swim tomorrow. Gotta make use of this week before going back to work on the 11th.
