Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

you're accustomed to the sound of the free hub? you're a coaster not a rider.

What happen to your cobb saddle you rode a couple of years ago. I read a post you made in 2010 on another website about how you loved the cobb saddle. Now I see you got one of those weenie little saddles. What caused the switch?

I used the saddle for about a month. Seemed to be great at first, but I just didn't care for it. He has a great return policy, so I took advantage in returning it for a full refund and getting something I liked. After the cobb saddle, I went to fizik arione, then arione tri2 and finally this specialized Romin Evo pro. Have had it now for 6 or 7 months now and absolutely love it. Finally am able to ride with minimal to no chafing and is comfy.

And, I found the cobb saddle to be hideous.

So, how are the wheels after a few days? Still just as awesome? I am waiting for my new wheels most excitedly ( for everyone else: I had Jude build me a23's laced to dt350's with the 36t upgrade (28/28 spoke count)) despite the fact that I am too sick to ride)

A23's have received some bad press around BF, but I've had good luck with them. I think they build into a very nice riding wheel. Hope you like yours as well.

Well, if I have problems with the wheels, I am fully confident that Jude will work with me to resolve them.

My enves are just as awesome. My times are better than ever. I just signed up for strava and excited to watch my results. I have a lunch ride route I go on with a couple friends which has a hill 1.2 miles long and a couple pretty good steep segments. As of yesterday I am ranked 204 of 904. Its no stage win but its a good start since I know I can cut a lot of time. I have never looked at my info off of my Garmin before until yesterday and it was an after thought so now that I want to see my rank get better I will be driven to kick it in gear! My goal is to break 150 ranking. I think I can do it within a couple weeks. Love love LOVE my wheels!!!!!

LOL, not regretting the decision to buy them, maybe a little buyers remorse with the cost. BUT totally worth it. I LOVE my bike as is right now and am constantly excited to ride. I hope that doesnt wear off for a while. The ride itself is still amazing and it has helped in multiple ways.

I hope you have a fire extinguisher with you when you do this, because that thing is red hot. I'm surprised the fence isn't smouldering from the hotness

Thank you! I love hearing that to be honest. aside from the looks of the new wheels, they are fantastic just with ride quality and performance. The benefits I feel from it are well worth the cost. I know that I made the right decision about getting them because I still find myself going out in my garage just to look at my bike which leaves me smiling ear to ear.
