As a hater of paypal, I've decided not to link my new bank account to my pay pal account. I have also decided not to carry a paypal account balance. Therefor, I will be immediately spending any funds from ebay audio cable sales on bike crap. Already have hubs, rims in route, seat post and saddle up next.

Fell on my bike today. I'm concerned this may hamper stoker enthusiasm. :(

Yeah, I'm hoping that either the Romin or Toupe works for me.

I'm still buying Toupes. The composite shell ones last me ~18 months.. less if I do something like go riding across the desert dodging a crash at the end of a silly bike race. I bought the S-Works as a nice thing to have / treat to myself for my not race bike. It is shaped like the Pro and has a carbon shell. I think it will hold up better and it comes in a fancy box. I think when I break my next Expert one, I'll just suck it up and put one of these on the race bike... my ass likes them, YMMV. http://www.specializedconceptstore.c...4/swtoupe.jpeg |

Ah - so it kicks up a little more in the back than the Toupe. Is it a little more curved from side-to-side, too? Looks nice.

Toupe and Romin were very different for me. I've been on a Toupe for a long time and keep breaking the shells on the Expert model (composite shell/Ti rails). I tried a Romin thinking the slightly beefier center section would hold up better. I could not ride it more than an hour and it caused numbness.

Same one on the Lynskey..

So does the center around the cut-out flex a little more on the Toupe than the Romin? Numbness is what I'm looking to alleviate...

For me the Romin flexed less and was just pushing on all the wrong places no matter how I set it up. It's very much a personal thing. |
