Much as I dislike the institution of monarchy, I have nothing against the Queen and old people being unwell is not good.

Important pitch. Would be great to get first client and a good one would be a bonus.

i haven't avoided it on purpose. at least not that i recall. more common options have been apple, rhubarb, blueberry, and pumpkin. i'll make a point of trying it then next time it's an option since my newfound appreciation of the pecan.

my nut sack mix is usually raw almonds, pecans/walnuts, and dried cranberries. i wish dried blueberries were more commonly available. might start adding sunflower seeds.

Seeing truckstop reminds me of my ever failing vegan diet. Today I went to an alleged English cafe offering fish and chips, English breakfast, shepherds pie etc.

I was sceptical and looking forward to a good long whinge. I was disappointed. The shepherds pie was excellent and not at all horsey.

Good luck. Don't mention you are a cyclist or they will wonder what is wrong with you.

Thanks. They are flying over from UK so a meeting in person gives me the opportunity to pull up my trouser legs and show them my rock hard cycling legs. If that doesn't impress them I don't know what will.

Eh? I hardly ever see rhubarb pie. Even blueberry is less common than pecan.

Showing some leg might get some people here hot and bothered, but it's generally a bad tactic for males to employ in a business setting.

Thanks. I really don't want to get to plan C....involves hostages.

don't worry, last night we went out with friends and i had a steak and blue cheese salad, and one too many glasses of petit sirah.

Went running with a friend today instead of riding. He was faster than me on the flats and downhills, but I was faster on the uphills. We did a very hilly course.

Guess which one of us weighs 135 and which one weighs 175?

That is funny. I once attended one of those bullsnot employee training courses meant to build teamwork and all the usual HR nonsense. It was such a cliche like that movie clip.

There's a regional element to this. Pecan pie is indigenous to the South. In the upper midwest, pecan pie is quite unusual but rhubarb and rhubarb combinations are ubiquitous.
