Pecan pie is sent from the gods.

You are correct on all counts.

Let's not get started about cheesecake.

My knees get weak and quake when it comes to cheesecake.

Another cold ride today. http://app.strava.com/activities/43033779

Sent an e-mail to Garmin Support.

I am having issues with the 810 reading power (wattage) consistently. While climbing steadily I will look down and watch the wattage go from 300 down to 100 then back up to 300 (numbers are examples only). This is a problem since I use power to pace myself and to train. It is also messing up my average power and my normalized power.

Today I used both my Garmin 500 and the 810 on the same ride to see how much of a difference there is.

On the 500 my avg power was 154 watts with a normalized power of 212 watts. On the 810 my avg power was 146 and my normalized power was 199. In my opinion this difference is too much. I am including links to the ride with both computers.

I must be developing dementia. I was cleaning up my summer carbon clinchers, and I can't remember if they need that stupid thin spacer to be put on before I put on the cassette. I am running 10 speed shimano. Does anyone know an easy way to tell if I need the spacer or not??

I removed the cassette last fall and I just can't remember....

Yes, 10 speed needs the spacer, 9 speed does not.

This, except since I'm a chocohaulic, I'll allow chocolate, but only a small amount to accent the flavor

Well my Powertap hub **** the bed this weekend. Needs a new freehub body. 2nd one in 2 years, hope it doesn't have to go back for that whole $250 overhaul. That's ridiculous. That could drive me towards a crank based power meter like Quarq.

LowCel 03-03-13 04:55 PM

Climbed 8,241 feet this weekend in 79.6 miles with average temps in the mid 20's and snowing. I can live with that.

Velo Vol 03-03-13 04:58 PM

Rotated and changed my rear tyre. Whew, what a workout. Hopefully I won't have to do that again until 2014.

Velo Vol 03-03-13 05:01 PM

I last replaced a tyre on 23 Jan 2012.

My rear tire rotates every time I pedal, even sometimes when I coast.

rjones28 03-03-13 05:34 PM

So, Velo Vol, do you keep a log?

datlas 03-03-13 05:46 PM

Decent weekend for activity. 55 Mile club ride yesterday...today did a 9.5 mile run and 1500m in the pool.

Too bad I still suck. The bike and run are passable, but the swim is weak. Gonna hit the pool again tomorrow after work.

p.s. also got some of 'that' activity in too !

I've been chronicling activities on a Google Calendar.

Warm and windy today. Nice day for a brick. 30mile ride and a 2mile run.
