i had overnight at 64 and daytime at 68 with the oil burner, and then mr. ts would bump it to 72 when he was home because he refused to wear anything warmer than a t-shirt in the house. with the new furnace i think it's set to 68 and 70.

My unoccupied downstairs thermo is set to 63° overnight. Upstairs is 66° however.

In a semi-related note, the last time I got my winter coat out of basement storage was 2004. If we get a cold winter again, I know where it is.

You're one of those people I see wondering around in basketball shorts all winter aren't you?

That's what I do. The programmed thermostats kick the heat back on so that by 6AM it's 68ºF again.

I know this advanced technology frightens and confuses some of you, but there it is.

Our new system has a touchpad thermostat.

Railfan Update.

Great day for trainspotting. Caught this lashup of three different BNSF liveries pulling coal through town today.

Generally they go after smaller game. Attacks on humans are uncommon. Cats and small dogs aren't safe at night.
