I'm a sucker for oboe concertos, lately. Probably added 3 or 4 to the music server in the last month.

rjones28 03-12-13 08:53 PM

Do you know any oboists?

Velo Vol 03-12-13 08:55 PM

The oboe is always in tune.

RUOkie 03-12-13 08:56 PM

I like the oboe. And clarinet. my two favorites in the wind section.

No, but when I hear about criminals in the news I never hear that any of them play the oboe.

Is that because oboists aren't criminals or because oboists are too smart to get caught?

Dannihilator 03-12-13 09:03 PM

Heard peepers in loud stereo sound today while on my ride.

rjones28 03-12-13 09:05 PM

What's the difference between an oboist and a psychiatric ward patient?
The oboist just hasn't been caught yet

I bet they have a lower propensity to crime.

RUOkie 03-12-13 09:18 PM

the last oboe player I met was a master thief

coasting 03-12-13 09:41 PM

you people are so bourgeois.

rjones28 03-12-13 09:42 PM

Why is a viola better than a violin?
It burns longer.

coasting 03-12-13 09:49 PM

In the South, where public works facilities (in most areas) generally have no reason to be prepared for snow removal, the storm is vividly remembered because it resulted in a complete shutdown of that region for three days. Cities that usually receive little snowfall, such as Chattanooga, Tennessee, received anywhere from 2 to 4 feet (0.61 to 1.2 m) of snow, causing some municipalities to adopt at least an emergency winter-weather plan for the future where one might not have existed before. Birmingham, Alabama, which normally receives 1 inch (2.5 cm) in a year, received 13 inches (33 cm), shattering the records for most snow in a single storm, a single month, and even a single season. The psychological impact in the Southern states, where average high temperatures in March tend to run into the 60s Fahrenheit (the upper teens Celsius), was magnified by the fact that it struck a week before spring.
I was in school near Chattanooga at the time. Fortunately, we were only out of power for part of a day on campus, but some of the faculty members didn't have electricity for six days. It was crazy.

Why am I good at spider solitare with all 4 suits?

WhyFi 03-12-13 10:03 PM

Is a violin smaller than a fiddle? No, violinists' heads are bigger.

Hmm, this wasn't a particularly good finding in the quest to beat heart disease.

I guess without Solo here nobody but me. Solo was crazy about that. But you drove him away and now he's gone. Maybe he and iJen are plotting to short cut some bike race course somewhere.

Au contraire mon petite Gomiere. That knowledge lets medical science understand there are natural forces at play here, not just Twinkies and pizza.

Twinkies are coming back by the way, so we can take you off suicide watch soon.
