Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Life is sooo good at the moment.

My payroll company's servers died on Tuesday meaning no payroll run. A minor side issue is the fact that I (amongst others) won't get paid until tomorrow morning.

Sin bin time over boys. We're free

Looks like those comments about how everything has got boring up in Road Cycling must have reached the right ears.

It's all about perspective young Sir Rowan. It is apparent that the honestly glib content in the Aussie Thread doesn't always appeal to the masses, same as endless diatribe about "my frame is better than your frame" is pointless to ppl who know where the heart of the bike is.

Yeah, but there's no picture of Sheryl Crow, so I'm not sure that it's Lance's wallet.

What? To keep your hypodermic syringes in? And boxes of stuff -- form that lab in LA, no doubt.

Noooo! That would be Aussie cycling team stuff. Grips, stems, locks, derailleurs, and some bells. Oh and the wallet and some Pirate Racing umbrellas. I won 76 items on ebay over the last few days...

any of your blokes use carbon bars/stem/integrated bars? I reckon they look the shizzle and could be worth a gander....

BTw, good to be home for a while. I think they're trying to confuse us silly Aussies hiding this thing all over the joint.

In NSW, by law you need to have a bell on your bike. When I worked at the IPB, I saw the actual tickets issued @ about $50 a pop.

Some kid got caught for no helmet. Cop wrote him up for the helmet, no bell, and no front light, no rear light, as it was at night. He told the kid to walk home. The kid got smart and rode anyway, so the cop sent him 4 more in the mail. What gear could you buy with that $400?
