Expat, this is the Loop of the Lake: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/trafficinf...ew_cc_a1_2.pdf
and these are the bike tracks around Newey: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/trafficinf...ew_cc_a1_1.pdf I think the legen goes like this: green dots are bike/pedestrian paths orange/brown = very heavy traffic zone and/or difficult conditions purple = easier conditions (eg. wide bike lane on side of road) >>>>> = hard climb (in direction indicated) |

Paypal now available in AU$! It's about damn time!

The advantage is that the cartridges are heaps cheaper than $8 each. I'd like to sell them for 1/2 that, but unless I'm just buying for myself, I need to order enough to make it worthwhile. And yes, turns out I do have a small stash of threaded cartridges in my tool box.

I'll see if I can get on to them sooner, rather than later. Waiting to hear from my brother about some other things too. PM or email me with any questions, I don't like to conduct business on the forums.

Expat do you sell parachutes or any other restraining devices that I might be able to use when climbo does his thing on hill climbs? :D

[edit] Parachutes? For Mr. 2 eggs and some axle grease for brekky? |

I'm still lurking. Farken hot today, went out on the singlespeed out to Westerfolds Park along the Yarra Trail. Had to bunnyhop 2 Tiger snakes. Luckily, they didn't get confused and try to shag my bike. :) I dunno if this is bad or not, ( or whether anyone want to hear this ) but I have the yellowest wizz I have ever seen at the moment. I'm drinking like a fish and don't seem too dehydrated.......I mean, I've been heaps more dehydrated than this and it hasn't been this fluorescent. It's amazing. Hopefully I haven't damaged my liver or anything ;) |

Mines approaching orange. It's a bit of a worry.
Ungh, now I have a hankering for poached eggs on Vegemite toast. Body might be telling me soemthing me thinks. Time to hit the kitchen...... |
Climbo, found it. The cop was full of *****. Riding 2 abreast is FIRST ON THE LIST of 'special rights' that cyclists have whilst on public roads in NSW.
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/trafficinf...lingrules.html Mind you, if I had of argued with him he probably would have booked me for the heinous crime of not having a bell or warning device. |

Hey Tiger, got a question. If you put a deep nick in your MTB bars, but it's covered by the brake or shifter clamp, is that a cause for concern? This is the commuter bike, former single speed, not the jump bike. |

I wasn't riding 'in the cycle lane provided'. See the little snippet on the right hand side of page 14 of this brochure from 1999: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregul...s/arrguide.pdf, but I suppose I could have argued that I was avoiding obstacles, which would not have been untrue given the shabby state of the cycle lane. |

Gooooooooooodmorning Vietnam. And the three other people from around the world tuned this little thread.
Well yesterday's effort was a fairly dismal affair, hopefully not an indication of things to come. On the weather front its going to be hot just about everywhere, except where its not. In the latest news southerly winds and lower temperatures should assist the South Australian firefighters. Thylacine promotes his widdle as a hair dye and opens up niche export markets in alaska. In sport will Warney come out of one-day retirement? He's been named captain of the World XI side to play the Kiwis. |
And it was a hot and windy ride home from work in Melbourne last night. 30 knot headwinds in 39C heat are not fun at all. Just about fell into a cold shower when I staggered in the door!
|
Didn't even get to the gym last night, it was so hot. How pissweak is that????
