Now, as far as I'm concerned, a blood test is basically a search, and my non legal mind was under the impression that to conduct a search, you need this other thing called 'reasonable cause'. What happened to that?

Not sure if a crime was committed? I know! Let's just test everyone! Let's search everywhere for evidence THEN see if we can find a crime to match! Yeah, that's a GREAT idea! :mad:

Drug testing is not a matter of civil rights if it is written into your employment contract. Lots of companies test for drugs.

If you were dragged off the street and asked to give a sample for no good reason then you'd have a case, but employment related drug testing does not compare.
