if you don't "get" cricket, rhyming slang, seppo bashing, and piss-ups it won't make any sense. oh yeah, every once in a while they actually talk about bikes and biking. (insert your favourite smiley thingy here) |
[obligatory road bike speak] I think my next road frame will be steel, with carbon stays, carbon seat tube, and pearl white paint with gold pearl in the clearcoat. [/obligatory road bike speak]
Oh yeah, and Shane Warne is still an overpaid Bogan, Seppos are dumb, and I love to get on the p¡ss. Oh, and Vaughn Bode rocks. :D What else?....err.......that's about it. |

Was that some sh¡t about Voltare? *heh*

No dumbass! It was a real question. Are you smoking bamboo, or making frames out of it?

Now we've all trudged back to Post # 5271, have you got an answer, Tiger*? Inquiring minds couldn't care less, but you answer could be interesting (hope you've got your professional indemnity insurance paid up :D).
* Actually, I picked that up from the ever-absent Hitchy, and I don't like it myself, and will stop referrring to you as such. A guy who thought he knew everything, crewed on the boat I sailed aboard last season, and he insisted on calling all and sundry "Tiger". Real pain in the butt. |

Are you guys aware that there was an article about the Melbourne 'hell rides' in the Weekend Australian on Saturday?
Since then the letter writers have come out with the for and against arguments re cycling. In this morning's Australian some guy was saying that they should stop selling adult bikes altogether. What a dickhead. |

"Hey Tiger, got a question. If you put a deep nick in your MTB bars, but it's covered by the brake or shifter clamp, is that a cause for concern? This is the commuter bike, former single speed, not the jump bike." If so, well, my own personal non-professional no warranty is expressed or implied ride at your own risk I am not responsible for anything that anyone does as a result of reading my opinion is........The last place that you want a 'deep nick' is in your handlebars - especially if they're carbon. Hiding it under your brake clamp isn't gunna do *****. Your chances of impailing yourself after bunnyhopping the next gutter is high.Is that the correct answer? Do I get a prize? |

Pics of the new Discovery bikes are on cyclingnews.com *yawn*
Man, Zap sure has turned into a sucker of Satans' pecker. What a big ol corporate sellout. I feel like projectile vomiting. Speaking of vomit, little Johnny today said that the Australian government would 'keep an eye on' the Australian about to be released from Guantanamo bay ( I forget his name...Mumdu Habib? ). Now, not only has he been illegally held without charge for TWO YEARS, but heck, let's forget about yet another cornerstone of the legal system, 'Innocent until proven guilty'. Ironic, coz he's guilty of nothing. Anyone who ever doubted whether or not your government would come to your aid if you were ever in trouble, there is your answer. The government couldn't give a sh¡t about you, and could give even less of a sh¡t especially if you're Muslim. On the footy front, on JJJ just now, they're saying something about mandatory drug testing for all players. Sorry, what did I just mention? 'Innocent until proven guilty'? Now, as far as I'm concerned, a blood test is basically a search, and my non legal mind was under the impression that to conduct a search, you need this other thing called 'reasonable cause'. What happened to that? Not sure if a crime was committed? I know! Let's just test everyone! Let's search everywhere for evidence THEN see if we can find a crime to match! Yeah, that's a GREAT idea! |

Athletes taking drugs? What next?

So do you think they should be allowed to take performance enhancing drugs?
I thought it was bad enough that the Lions were using intravenous drips to re-hydrate. Drug testing is not a matter of civil rights if it is written into your employment contract. Lots of companies test for drugs. If you were dragged off the street and asked to give a sample for no good reason then you'd have a case, but employment related drug testing does not compare. |
