Hey Expat, how long is a reasonable time before you start putting the heat on an Ebay winning bidder for some cashola? Ebay reckons 7 days. The guy's ebay reputation is excellent, but seems just a bit slow on the uptake and communication.

http://www.cyclingforums.com/f126-au...w-zealand.html reckon that the Kennedy fit is now $250?!!

I'm sure it was about 60 bucks 10 years ago.

ed073 01-18-05 09:00 PM

That's about $248 too much.

but maybe it includes hi-rise stem and headset spacers?

Bad news for racing tonite climbo: hell NE wind has kicked in. Good for coming off the last turn, but hell along the back straight.

i'll be trying to hide back there :)

My auctions state that they have 3 days to contact, 5 days to pay, or it gets relisted. I stick to that. I'd send the reminder first, if I were you.

That's the same seller isn't it? Wonder if that's another copy or the last dude didn't pay up? Or he's rorting dudes for money then not giving the book up, then selling again for more rorts. Ebay's DANGEROUS!!!

Thanks for that. ;)

Johnny_Monkey 01-19-05 05:50 AM

It's the same seller. He actually pulled the auction early last time.

Oh. I didn't notice. Don't suppose anything was entered as to why he pulled it?

No it just ended early. I thought it might be because he'd sold it offline or that he wasn't getting a high enough price for it.

"Panaria teammates Graeme Brown and Julio Perez Cuapio have crashed. Perez Cuapio has been forced to abandon as a result, while Brown is being seen by the race doctor for his injuries."

250 is ridiculous!!!!!! No farken way? Is he serious?

Look, I value his opinion, but when I got fitted up, he kept getting interrupted, muttered something about wedging my left foot, and just scribbled some numbers on a photocopied piece of paper and handed it to me.

That's not 250 bucks an hour worth of professional work in my opinion. I think his knowledge is valuable, but fark, talk about taking advantage of a monopoly.

Man, this is getting under my collar. I usually allow for 150 bucks worth of fitting with the cost of my road frames, but I don't want to add 100 bucks to my costs just because Kennedy wants to only sell to fat doctors and merchant bankers.

I have a degree and 10 years worth of Industrial Design experience and I don't even charge close to 250 bucks an hour. Does anyone else do quality fitting here in Melbourne?

Must be a bike shop boy. Seems to be adjective deficient.

Doesn't say 'hi' either.
