Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Might have been a little more than 400 watts.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
There's no way one can simply rip carbon apart like that in that direction by simply dialing it up to however many Watt ... especially not in that place.
The only explanation is that there already was some damage and it slowly cracked further and resulted into this.

I think I found the wattage dial!

It must be that plastic dial behind the cassette!

Oh yea, I went there!

The op post could be pre fractured. Road debris nick the carbon stay, the. Over time it becomes a fracture. Carbon fibre is brittle. This is why many CF structures are multi layered(to increase strength) & often bonded with Kevlar or other products which are less brittle. I found out that Bora's have Kevlar in their structure. Had to destroy one to find out....not on purpose, of course...
