Try to understand, this is exactly what he's talking about. Men and women are fundamentally different, not just physically but overwhelmingly mentally. (There are many interesting reasons this developed, but we don't have the time or space to go into them here.) So what you womenz are not willing to do, we men would do at the drop of a hat, without hesitation, if we deemed the payoff worth it.
And believe you me, whereas you women might be assured you can get some virtually any time you want (all women have to do is walk into any bar or coffee shop, smile and bat their eyes), we poor men have no such assurances. Virtually ever.
A woman's batting average could be 1.000 if she wanted, whereas the very very best an average man can expect is like 0.100 . . . on a really good year. We can't be so choosey because our rate of success is so ridiculously low. So we just step to the plate swinging, hoping to get lucky. You women can "get lucky" anytime you want.

Actually Bill, wimenz could bat higher than 1.000 pretty easily. Some guys would do that kind of 3 some.

We got 12 inches of snow last night. And some pretty fierce winds for the last 24 hours. It is currently both degrees right now before wind chill. Yep, 2 degrees. With wind chill I have heard 17 -20 below. Damn cold. The temp will continue to drop to 0 and or -3 tonight through tomorrow with a warming trend for Wed. when we will reach a balmy 19 degrees! I am not in favor of this cycle of weather.
On other fronts I purchased some new 4000s es today, and will be trying out some Ultra Races on the back up machine this season. I gave the pro 4s a chance, but I just cant get on board with them. Nothing specific, they just dont do it for me the way 4000s es do. They seem to have a higher rolling resistance and wear way faster than Continentals.

I'm not aware of it being generational, but it is very regional. In some places, it's one is predominant and the other is rarely used. In others places, they're interchangeable. For some regions, the two words have somewhat more distinct meanings - one is a more formal meal than the other, or something like that, but I wouldn't know which is which.
