Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ya know, there was a time in the 41 when folks wouldn't dare admit riding a mtb for fear of being verbally abused and ostracized.

Now look at the place. :shakinghead facepalm:

A chance of showers before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10am and 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Rode anyway, caught a few drops, but not enough to even get wet
Was hemming and hawing this morning about whether to go or not, and my wife informed me I'm b/tc#y when I don't ride. WOW I never noticed

I got a new lens (Zeiss Distagon 28/2.8) and in testing it out, took a shot of the new ride that the boy got for his 3rd birthday (today). Trying to decide which HrN it belongs in -

If you put it in the New and Improved, it'll get ripped to shreds, unless it's staged perfectly.

That's a really interesting tactic you have going. I vote that it's deliberate that you get b/tc#y when you don't ride, just so she will hustle you out the door without any qualms.

I'd try that, except someone else around my place gets a little agitated if I ride and she doesn't...

That bit of clothing hanging over the back of the settee is sure to give it a fail.

life is good. Working too hard, riding a fair bit, still commuting 2-3d/wk on the road bike. Kayaking and 30-50milers on the weekends. I can't complain.

...bar position higher than saddle, they'll eat you alive. Points for the low spoke count wheels, though.

Platform pedals. Tsk, tsk. And that saddle!

Oops... we're tearing it to shreds and we're not the HorN, new, improved or otherwise.

JD and I killed tonight. Took it to the next level. Man, we had that room riveted. What a rush.

We do sound great together, we're getting better and his songwriting is amazing. Gotta get you guys tapes of this stuff.

I'd put a 41-HTFU sticker on the down tube and back step (I love typing that in 1 sentence), need to start him out right. Don't forget to tell him there's no crying in cycling.

Can't wait to hear a good quality recording. Get a cd together and you might get a couple hundred sales here in bf.
