I have decided against all the bikes I originally looked at, I'm going tomorrow to look at a Ridley fenix cr2. I tested a carbon bike the other day and I loved the way it rode, so I now want a carbon frame. The I have a budget so ultegra is out of the picture, so 105 will do just fine and from what I hear you really can't tell much difference between ultegra and 105. The Ridley is a 10 speed and that will be plenty good for me, I live in flat Florida so I don't need a triple either. So the Ridley has everything I'm looking for in my price range

While at Performance, check out their carbon Scattante with full 6800.

Ultegra has come a long way.
105 has come a long, long way.
The gap between them has closed---a lot. Especially now with 5800 about to hit the market. But even 5700/6700 wasn't as big a gap as many think.

A bike shop in Japan advertises now that they've gotten the 5800 groupset in stock. It should be a sign that we are getting them in the U.S. real soon, if not tomorrow.

Awesome. I can't wait until people start listing their 5700 groups on Craigslist and Ebay for super cheap. 10-speeds, here I come!
