Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Why did Ms Coasting get left to her own devices whilst in peril?

Except for the natural bowel disaster that a whole box of oatmeal will cause!

You're a dope. You should have been over there all night holding her and comforting her with hot cocoa and soft words instead of sleeping like a baby while she was terrified. Sympathy after the fact is not rewarded with gratitude nookie while on the spot heroism of the sort I described might be.

no no no no no! you are not pinning that one on me!

i asked her to come over to my more sheltered abode but she refused. So this morning (after I woke up at 11 a.m from a night of excellent worry free sleep) I called her and said, "just checking you are not dead." she was not amused.

Because The Coasting does not understand women. One night, back when LoP and I were newly a couple, I woke up, felt chilly and commented on it. Rather than saying "There's blankets in the closet; help yourself", which would have been an entirely reasonable thing to do, he got up and found one and spread it over us even though he hadn't said he was cold. A few weeks ago, at least a year later, he woke up, realized I was shivering- I was asleep and didn't even know I'd gotten cold- and again found an extra blanket and put it over us. I'm not trying to embarrass him. I'm pointing out how different his behavior is from @coasting's. Furthermore, I've yet to meet a woman of any age who doesn't hear that story and say "Awww."

...one begins to understand why @coasting's female relationships are of limited duration. nttawwt
Reminds me of about 80% of the ******** I used to talk with in the fire department locker room.

Those guys could not stay married either.

Coasting, if you want to understand the wimmenz, there are a couple of them here who are willing to give you some insight.

In the immortal words of John Lennon "Whatever gets you through the night is alright." I voted to legalize equal marriage and love is love is love as long as you're consenting and of age. Still...even in Cali there's a difference between romance and b-romance, isn't there?

...I think so, but with all the gender dysfunction and metrosexuals, it's getting harder and harder to tell.
