Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Those Giro shoes are nice. Unfortunately, the HVs were not quite HV enough for my feet. I still really dig the Empires, too.

I looked at the Empires, as well. Lace shoes are cool, but the black were really shiny... I didn't think I was good enough to rock those. The HV's feel good. I run the Mega Sidi's, and they're not quite there, but were close. Fizik's felt really good because the sole is flat, and doesn't curve up at the outsides.

Didn't notice that. You can imagine if the phone fell further out, facing the wrong way she would have gone out to pick it up and got run over.

Unfortunately our Minnehaha neighborhood is a bit of a suburban wasteland with no good food. Nice bike lanes, though, and there is a 24 hour Mexican joint on Minnehaha Ave. in Hazel Dell.

Dude, I lived that sh*t for four years. Throwing foreign national brides into the mix takes it up a level. I'd imagine it's even better reading it on Facebook. Only really good parts were getting to climb on/in a tank and traveling over a bunch of Europe on an elderly BMW R60.

The best wedding locale of those I've attended was the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. It was quite a rush to see the backdrop to so many movie and TV scenes.

I'm glad I don't roll in those circles. The vig would be hard to come up with for every wedding.
