Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually I also am a vegetarian. Not militant about it however and if out for dinner with friends in a non vegatarian resturant, will indulge in fresh seafood. This is quite rare however, maybe 1 or 2 times a year. Typical dinner- brown rice, lightly stir fried vegetables with tofu. Lunch- when eaten, a veggie burger, breakfast- fruit, coffee really very little.
Meat- non at all, chicken- non. Will splurge with thanksgiving and have turkey with the fam.

Once I saw the cookie debate from last night, I just switched to the last page. What's happening?

I saved a praying mantis from the trash, Mr. Makel was too scared to get it out of the tree clippings so I had to do it. This one wasn't green though it was grey.

I got a new purse, it's a Brahmin, I'm in love with it.

I didn't pay for it, was a gift. I carry it around like a baby.

it is way too hot out.

That is all. But before you all start saying I'm a complainer, I did get my 2hr ride in. I'll say it was between 30 and 35miles since I wasn't going very hard and I don't want to exaggerate. (in anti-41 fashion, I removed my Garmin a year ago and have not had any urge to use it again)

Back from a short 28 mile ride.

I had to skip the morning club ride as I had to work. Stupid job.

Any news on @Heathpack and the epic hill ride??

It is too hot, felt sorry while I watched the other half mow the lawn... not enough to help though.

How hot is beastly hot? I love the description of Arabian heat by T.E.Lawrence in "Seven Pillars of Wisdom", describing his first encounter with the Arabian desert, " Then the heat of Arabia came out like a drawn sword and struck us speechless"
