Fight?
Woohoo!
I had a very busy day chauffeuring around "the crip" on Saturday errands while earning future bonus points.
Woohoo!
I await @BillyD's submission.

@surgeonstone, if you want the crack thread shut down, you will have to put some effort into the enterprise.

After today's club ride, one of my friends forgot to stop his Strava app and drove home. He ended up with a vastly superior average speed as well as a couple impressive KOMs. Once he figured this out he deleted the entire ride.

You should let him know it's possible to crop rides like that.

The Ugly
To my dismay, I discovered that this formerly open meadow now looks like a strip mine, complete with 20+ earth movers and other heavy machinery. Only it's not going to be a strip mine (I almost wish it was). It's going to be more exurb housing for road-clogging SUV drivers.

Ride Report
Distance: 46.7 miles
Time: 2: 50: 36
Stoppage time: 0:00 (excluding stop lights, signs)
Temperature: 61F
Humidity: 52%
0.00 litres/kilograms of substance consumed. I probably could have gone for a drink (poor pre-hydration), but I thought it might make me cold. I'd rather be a bit thirsty than cold.
Ride Objective Checklist
Avoid getting run over ✔
Don't crash ✔
Mileage for weekly quota ✔
No flat tyres ✔
No hypothermia ✔
Ride fast X
The Good
--Came around a curve on a hill climb and saw three deer at the edge of the road! I see deer out in the wild west every once in a while, but not on the road. Then a mile later another one with antlers bounded in front of me! A free wilderness safari in Loudon County
Other animals spotted: two goats, a donkey, cows, horses, and dogs (including a big slow one that tried to chase me).
--Five miles of road has been repaved since my last ride there. Sweet.
--Much more surprisingly, there's a fancy new roundabout, with lights! coasting would be jealous.
--I revisited a road I haven't ridden in probably three years. I'm so adventuresome.
The Bad
When you can't turn your head enough to see behind you, and have to go across to a left turn lane, it's a problem.
The Ugly

The one good thing about the Great Recession was that it put an end to this kind of thing for several years. Now it's coming back. Joy.

@rjones28 was burned as a child in a leaf-burning incident. It left a scar.

Now that @Heathpack has a power meter and a coach ride reports will change and so will the pictures. We will probably get power and other numbers in a short narrative and maybe a pic of the screen of her Garmin.
