Going to be crappy weather all week with rain, snow, and even a couple sub-zero F mornings. Looks like half a dozen bikes (mine and my wife's) are going to get some overdue care.

I think I may have mentioned this before, but when my boy left for college, I told him that I would rather have him come home with a man than a girl from Long Island.
Granted, I also told him that if the zombie apocalypse occurred while he was away, he should assume we are gone, and I would assume he was as well. No one should wait around for a rescue.
It is possible that the sum total of my send off words was less than helpful.

Excellent zombie apocalypse wisdom, Mr. H and I discuss this kind of thing a lot, living 10 miles from the San Andreas fault. For you newby lurkers, be advised that it is my belief that the zombie apocalypse will start in LA when the zombies are unleashed from the San Andreas fault in the days and hours after the big one. This is why I am putting together my zombie apocalypse team now, before it is too later. Roll makes the cut because he is a clipless pedal hoarder, and I feel like clipless pedals may be hard to get once zombies are running things.

^^ Now that you've opened the PP and have one slide finished, the rest will start to flow. Getting started is usually the hardest part.

I always find the same thing. Just doing the title slide can take days, and then the rest just spill out in an hour or two for 20 or 30 of them.

I use rides like that as an excuse to lay around on the sofa. Haha I tell Mr H not to disturb me, I may look lazy but I'm actually busy building muscle.

Speaking of which, I believe we were promised a haiku. And an ostrich. Neither of which are evident on this thread at the current time.

I saw no ostrich today. There was a blue heron, but I didn't get a pic of it. There was a rather expired, slightly damp opossum on the side of the road, which I did take a pic of but roadkill shots aren't very popular here for some reason.

I did share a pic of our Green Cheek Conure. The ostrich is forthcoming, but we don't do the safari route very often. Next time I'll snap a few pics.

Forget that, I just scrolled back and saw it.
Nice bird but I'm afraid of birds. I like roller skating parrots, actually, and the ones that play basketball. But only really from a distance. Up close, they are kind of freaky to me.
The worst is hummingbirds. People who rehab hummingbirds always try to show you the bird by shoving it in your face. Whoa now, take a step back with that thing. That beak could put your eye out.

So it goes, the journey is the thing... even if it's a little slower at the moment.
